Sr. Specialist, Store Merchandising and Signage Initiatives

GENERAL PURPOSE:

This position is responsible for supporting store operations merchandising initiatives and signage programs for Ross & dd's stores. The position will work with cross-functional business partners to execute projects by creating timelines, project managing all projects through execution, and providing continuous follow-ups, recaps, and project hindsight as it pertains to merchandising initiatives and store signage. The position will provide analytical support for projects including expenditure logs, budget planning and building price requests for approval. This position is responsible to help develop, coordinate and communicate all aspects of the in-store merchandising initiatives and signage programs to the field organization of Ross & dd's stores. This includes developing & testing, driving results through project planning, analysis, cross-functional support, and effective vendor management.

The base salary range for this role is $73,500 - $110,400. The base salary range is dependent on factors including, but not limited to, experience, skills, qualifications, relevant education, certifications, seniority, and location. The range listed is just one component of the total compensation package for employees. Other rewards vary by position and location.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Supports both Store Operations and the New York Buying Office to execute merchandising and signage strategies in an off-price environment. This includes, but is not limited to, hardware and fixture, and signage rollouts

• Responsible for the development and coordination of communication for merchandising initiatives and in-store signage programs. This includes, but is not limited to: Store communications, In-Store Marketing Guide, Merchandising Manual, New Store openings, Remodels, Vendor Sign Installation Guides and Store Installation Guides.

• Responsible for managing the electronic sign ordering system and replenishment inventory for both Ross and dd's brands. Provides system training to store associates as needed

• Support operational activities associated with Store openings, closings and relocations from a Signing perspective

• Identify and coordinate placement and installation of the Ross or dd's in-store sign package across all stores, including cosmetics repairs

• Support the managing, analyzing and tracking of the department budget on a monthly basis. Ensuring invoices are accounted for and any discrepancies are communicated and reported to the Finance Team

• Visit stores and collaborate with field partners to evaluate processes and execution, with occasional travel to print facilities for press checks on key signage kits

• Collaborates with cross-functional business partners and vendors to develop detailed project timelines, write decks for socialization, and provide updates effectively verbally and/or in written communication

QUALIFICATIONS AND SPECIAL SKILLS REQUIRED:

• BA/BS in related field preferred.

• 3+ years of retail experience or corporate experience preferred

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Financial/budgeting experience a plus

• Proficient in the Microsoft software (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

• Excellent communication, and ability to organize and prioritize special project files.

• A detail-oriented approach - must pay close attention to details and have the drive to get things right

• High comfort level working in ambiguous, rapidly changing environments and ability to manage multiple activities simultaneously

• High degree of reliability including accountability for daily, weekly, and long-term projects

• Ability to work effectively within a team environment and independently with minimal direction

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS/ADA:

Job requires ability to work in an office environment, primarily on a computer.
Requires sitting, standing, walking, hearing, talking on the telephone, attending in-person meetings, typing, and working with paper/files, etc.
Consistent timeliness and regular attendance.
Vision requirements: Ability to see information in print and/or electronically.
Travel Requirements: Ability to travel to stores in local and non-local markets as needed
This role requires regular in-office presence, including to engage in in-person team interaction, meetings and collaboration, client support, mentoring, coaching, and/or feedback. However, this role can perform duties effectively using a combination of in-office and remote work. #LI-Hybrid
