About this opportunity:

The Import Customs Compliance Sr. Specialist position will be responsible for various aspects of the importation of Ross products. Responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to, classification of imported products, monthly auditing, review of custom’s entries, buyer/vendor/agent/broker communication, and execution and improvement of all processes/procedures to ensure Ross imports are within the highest standard in reasonable care. This is a fast-paced environment.



  • Work with import broker to resolve questions/provide information as needed
  • Knowledge and understanding of various importing requirements and various government agencies
  • Provide Buying Offices and vendors/agents/broker with applicable HTS and corresponding duty rates
  • Perform monthly audits of US Customs Entries filed on behalf of the company
  • Prepare Post-Entry Adjustments for submission to customs or customs broker
  • Classification of imported product prior to and at the time of CBP clearance
  • Support and assist with any department needs in or outside the company, i.e. US Customs, broker, management, etc.
  • Provide analytical and product management support to all business areas as needed
  • Knowledge and understanding of all import related current events

Who you are

  • You have a minimum of 4 years’ experience with broad customs classification experience using the Harmonized Tariff Schedule in an international transportation or customs brokerage atmosphere
  • You have high level working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook
  • You are a licensed U S Customs Broker (preferred)
  • You have a Bachelor’s degree or work experience equivalent
  • You have 3 years of international transportation experience
  • You have 1-2 years of customer service experience
  • You have experience with transportation and compliance systems, Bamboo Rose experience is a plus
