Sr. Project Analyst

GENERAL PURPOSE:
The Senior Analyst, Initiatives will analyze and interpret data to support specific Company initiatives as well as the broader Human Resources project and change management teams.

This individual will analyze and synthesize data to communicate key program metrics and updates to stakeholders both within HR and across other business groups; contribute to the design and implementation of program and change management tools, documents, and processes; and analyze and interpret data to support the annual and 5-year planning processes.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Program and Change Management Governance
  • Develop and administer tools which clearly and concisely document project scope, timing, activities, resourcing, and budget.
  • Collaborate with other internal teams to analyze data on resource impact from project portfolio.
  • Develop and administer reporting to provide Leadership Team with visibility to project portfolio, update stakeholders on project status, and escalate issues requiring leadership attention.
  • Create and maintain Program and Change Management Center of Excellence tools and process documentation.
  • Train and support users on Program and Change Management COE tools and processes.
  • Leverage technology to create and deliver communications and training tools and templates.
Project Support
  • Provide project and/or change management support for projects. This includes, but is not limited to: creation and implementation of project plans, status reports, communication plans, issue logs, action item logs, training plans, and training materials.
  • Analyze project data to ensure accurate assumptions and results.
  • Identify, troubleshoot, and escalate issues during project.
  • Partner with project stakeholders prepare, analyze, and communicate reports to relevant audiences.
  • Support the documentation of project findings and recommendations, either by creating documents or by reviewing and validating vendor/internal documents.
  • Manage any ad hoc analysis requests related to project and project data.
HR Planning
  • Perform analysis of project data to support annual budgeting, 5-year planning, and strategic Roadmap planning efforts.
  • Coordinate with HR, Finance, IT, and Stores budget teams to ensure that cross-functional project budgets, annual department budgets and departmental 5-year plans accurately reflect the impact of projects.

QUALIFICATIONS AND SPECIAL SKILLS REQUIRED:
  • Bachelor’s degree required (preferably in an analytical or business field)
  • Prefer 2-3 years post college experience (preferably in consulting or financial analysis)
  • Strong analytical ability – must be able to synthesize data, be able to error check and reconcile own work and be able to design analysis to answer specific questions
  • A detail oriented approach – must pay close attention to the details and have the drive to get things right
  • Strong organizational skills

  • Ability to work independently and exercise independent judgment
  • Strong MS Excel, PowerPoint, and Word skills, as well as ability to learn training applications (e.g. Articulate, Storyline, InDesign)

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS/ADA:
  • Requirements: Consistent timeliness and regular attendance. Job requires ability to work in an office environment, primarily on a computer. The job also requires sitting, standing, talking on the telephone, attending in-person meetings, typing, and working with paper/files, etc.
  • Occasional Requirements: Job occasionally requires bending, kneeling, reaching, and lifting up to 10 pounds. May also require occasional driving and traveling overnight for business functions.
