Sr. Director, Executive Protection

The Senior Director, Executive Protection Services ensures the Safety and Security of select Senior Leaders and Assets within the organization. Responsible for safeguarding persons and property by identifying/monitoring potential threats, assessing/deploying security solutions and providing consistent awareness and education.

The Senior Director, Special Services must demonstrate their ability to manage complex situations, maintain strong internal/external relationships, have proven security expertise and a drive for results.

  • Develop strategy, lead teams and resources to ensure a Best in Class Executive Protection program
  • Conduct routine threat, risk and vulnerability assessments; develop detailed proposals to address gaps
  • Effectively supervise and conduct confidential, detailed investigations and interviews
  • Provide expertise and consultation in the areas of personal safety, security and associated technologies
  • Maintain effective communication with Senior Leader's, the Senior Leader's family, property staff and associates
  • Aligns with executive and LP leadership to prioritize and resolve identified issues
  • Identify and maintain strong oversight and relationships and serve as primary contact for all safety/security vendors and private contractors assigned to work with Senior Leaders
  • Monitor health of supported safety/security systems, address and escalate issues as identified
  • Maintain contacts with law enforcement agencies, professional organizations and industry peers to remain current on potential threats that may affect Ross, and its executives
  • Ensure 3rd party vendors are trained, certified and performing at expected levels
  • Evaluate new technologies and products to improve overall safety, security and general awareness
  • Attract, recruit and retain top talent for all Executive Protection roles
  • Drive a strong performance management culture across all teams led
  • Coach and influence team around individual development and continuous education
  • Manage capital and expense budgets related to security services and programs

  • Bachelor's degree or greater, preferably in Criminal Justice or other related fields or ten (10) years of directly related experience may be substituted
  • Government, Military, Law Enforcement experience preferred
  • Certified Protection Professional (CPP) certification preferred
  • Experience with the successful implementation of corporate security, executive protection, and investigative programs
  • Industry and customer service acumen
  • Experience conducting safety/security assessments
  • Excellent detail orientation and organizational skills
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to effectively solicit and engage with Senior Leadership and partners (internal and external)
  • Excellent analytical skills
  • Presentation and facilitation skills
  • Valid US Passport required

Job requires ability to work in an office environment, primarily on a computer.
Requires sitting, standing, walking, hearing, talking on the telephone, attending in-person meetings, typing, and working with paper/files, etc.
Consistent timeliness and regular attendance.
Vision requirements: Ability to see information in print and/or electronically.
Must be available to travel on short notice and accommodate extended stays where needed
