About this opportunity ....

Responsible for full life cycle recruitment of the Product Sourcing Services function for the New York Buying Office for Ross Stores and dd's Discounts. Responsible for sourcing candidates, scheduling, conducting interviews and managing candidates through the recruiting process. The Sr. Recruiter will play an integral role in the growth of the company and will need to be flexible to hire all levels. Will independently manage ongoing projects and recruiting reports capturing.
  • Identify potential candidates for selected open positions as directed. Develop candidates utilizing web-based searches (i.e., LinkedIn). Screen resumes for selected positions and conduct initial HR interviews.
  • Maintain constant and clear communication with business partners: host kick-off meetings with hiring managers, provide updates on searches and candidate progress, etc.
  • Create and maintain candidate files, as well as update the recruitment database with potential candidates and networking resources on an ongoing basis.
  • Oversee reference and background check process for final candidates and ensure results meet Ross standards. Create initial offer recommendations.
  • Facilitate new hire paperwork process and ensure internal communication regarding associate onboarding occurs
  • Execute projects and compile reports as needed (i.e., recapping open positions and candidates, researching outside companies, populating recruiting metrics reports)

Who you are ...
  • You are experienced in conducting full life cycle recruiting in a corporate or agency setting (required); ideally, that experience will include a focus on recruiting Creatives (Product Development, Design, Packaging, etc.)
  • You have demonstrated the ability to assess candidates using behavioral interviewing techniques and you are familiar with employment law and recruiting best practices.
  • You are a stellar communicator - your emails are top-notch and you can deliver a compelling message. You listen intently and follow through on your commitments.
  • You are driven: to solve problems, to meet business demands, and to achieve results. You take initiative and seize opportunities.
  • People have given you kudos for your service-orientation. You are always willing to help, and it makes an impact.
  • A fast-paced work environment excites you. You understand how to juggle competing priorities, exercise independent judgment, and ensure a high quality of work.
  • You know how to handle sensitive information and have experience maintaining confidential reports, compensation information, etc.
  • You fluidly operate a PC/Microsoft Office, share tools and Excel spreadsheet applications.
