Senior Manager, Marketing (Digital)

GENERAL PURPOSE:

The Senior Marketing Manager, Digital is responsible for Ross social media and digital marketing to increase brand awareness, engagement and drive store visits. This role seamlessly manages campaigns across all tactics within display, paid social and the influencer program partnering with the media and analytics team to create strategies and plans that deliver targeted messaging, drive brand awareness and store visits. This role reports to the Vice President, Marketing.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Manage Ross Dress for Less social media and digital campaigns and programs:
  • Partner with the media team and external agencies to develop and execute digital marketing strategies for owned, earned and paid media on existing platforms and continuously evaluate, test and learn on new platforms.
  • Manage day-to-day communications on Ross social media channels. Identify issues and crises and escalate appropriately within the marketing department, as well as with business partners.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and external agencies to produce and deploy social media and digital content.
  • Oversee day-to-day social media and community activities including planning and implementing a monthly editorial calendar and coordinating content to support all posts. Nurture/maintain internal relationships with the Fashion Office and lead content meetings/sessions.
  • Develop, manage and evolve the Ross Influencer Program (in-house and external programs) including celebrity engagements in support of key initiatives.
  • Develop, execute and measure Digital Campaigns in support of key seasonal initiatives.
  • Play a leadership role for the cross-functional Social Committee meetings that occur quarterly including identifying relevant topics, developing agendas, leading discussions, distributing meeting summaries and driving forward any action items.
  • Partner with the DE&I team and Internal Communications to develop, post, monitor and action Associate-facing and external Corporate messaging on an ongoing basis.
  • Work in partnership with the analytics team to define metrics and KPIs to measure the success and impact of social and digital campaign efforts. Track, analyze, and report on digital and social media performance and evolve paid media efforts to optimize efforts.
  • Participate in quarterly analytics sessions to assess performance and identify insights. Apply learnings to programs as appropriate.
  • Conduct ongoing research to maintain a deep understanding of social platforms, best practices, and market trends.
  • Identify approaches/methods to cost efficiently source social content (eg UGC content) and evaluate performance of all content across social channels.
  • Constantly evaluate tools to help automate our social media processes and programs.
  • Manage, track and report on applicable digital marketing budgets. Code invoices for payment and reconcile with applicable budgets.

Partner and Team Development:
  • Build and maintain strong working relationships with external agency partners, as well as internal partners/teams such as the fashion offices and merchant teams.
  • Coach and direct reports to help them grow within their roles and optimize their ongoing project work.
  • Explore/research vendor proposals for other advertising opportunities for Ross

QUALIFICATIONS AND SPECIAL SKILLS REQUIRED:
  • Bachelor's degree, marketing background
  • Minimum seven years related experience (advertising or marketing). Retailer marketing experience a plus.
  • Strong computer skills, specifically Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Acrobat and Digital platforms
  • Strong written and oral communications
  • Ability to multi-task, work under tight deadlines, and problem solve

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS/ADA:

Job requires ability to work in an office environment, primarily on a computer.
Requires sitting, standing, walking, hearing, talking on the telephone, attending in-person meetings, typing, and working with paper/files, etc.
Consistent timeliness and regular attendance.
Vision requirements: Ability to see information in print and/or electronically.
