Senior Manager, Learning and Organizational Development

GENERAL PURPOSE:

The Senior Manager of Learning and Organization Development for Ross Stores, Inc. will identify, , design, develop, implement, and evaluate key learning and development initiatives across multiple business units using various learning platforms. At times, the Sr. Manager will partner with 3rd party consultants to deliver instructionally sound learning programs. The ideal candidate will be able to manage multiple concurrent projects, some of which impact the entire organization.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Experience managing large scale and complex learning projects and programs, including needs assessment, design, development, implementation, and evaluation.

• Subject matter expertise in instructional design and/or adult learning theory, eLearn development, leadership and management practices, communication theory, or other related topics.

• Proven track record in building collaborative and consultative partnerships within the business and HR.

• Knowledge of key technologies and platforms in the learning development and delivery space.

• Exceptional multi-platform facilitation skills required.

QUALIFICATIONS AND SPECIAL SKILLS REQUIRED:

• Bachelor's Degree required; Advanced degree in Organization Development, Industrial-Organizational Psychology, or a related field preferred.

• Special consideration to eLearn development skills in Articulate

• Special consideration to certifications in Executive Coaching, Situational Leadership, and Social Styles.

• Proven track record with at least 8 years of experience in training or client facing roles.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS/ADA:

Job requires ability to work in an office environment, primarily on a computer.
Requires sitting, standing, walking, hearing, talking on the telephone, attending in-person meetings, typing, and working with paper/files, etc.
Consistent timeliness and regular attendance.
Vision requirements: Ability to see information in print and/or electronically.
This role requires regular in-office presence, including to engage in in-person team interaction, meetings and collaboration, client support, mentoring, coaching, and/or feedback. However, this role can perform duties effectively using a combination of in-office and remote work.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:

This person will manage project teams, but does not have direct supervisory responsibility.
