Senior Change Management Specialist

GENERAL PURPOSE:

The Senior Specialist, Initiatives and Change Management will be responsible for supporting change management and project management activities for a variety of strategic company initiatives including technology, process and organizational change.

The Initiatives and Change PMO operates as a comprehensive program and change management office supporting implementation, adoption and sustainability. The Sr. Specialist may support projects in a project and/or a change capacity and as such experience in a PMO with both disciplines will be helpful. The individual in this role will support development of the change impact assessment, communications, training and sustainability plans as well as monitor project and change management plans and track action/issues/risks/dependencies. This role will also be engaged in assessing and interpreting change impacts and employee and organizational readiness; communicating project and change management updates to stakeholders; supporting communication and training delivery; and development of dashboards and heat maps.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Support Initiative and Change Management Delivery

• Assess the impact of change on organizations, using assessments of organizational culture, performance, and readiness for change.

• Collaborate with key stakeholders to develop and execute both project and change management plans

• Create actionable deliverables to facilitate change, including communications plans, sponsor roadmaps, training plans, resistance management plans, and sustainability plans

• Support and partner with project team to manage day-to-day operational aspects of project management and support efforts to deliver on schedule, on budget, and on scope

• Identify obstacles to change and recommends mitigation activities

• Partner with key stakeholders to plan, prepare, and develop key messages and communication and engagement materials

• Support the development and delivery of training and enablement activities

• Define sustainment plan with the project team to enable "stickiness" and accountability

• Measure, and monitor success metrics for change progress, outcomes and sustainability; including adoption, utilization, proficiency, benefits realization, performance

• Manage any ad hoc analysis requests related to impact, readiness and stakeholder data.

Support Center of Excellence

• Use the established change management framework and toolkit to provide change management delivery support. Help drive continuous improvement to enhance tools, templates and best practices

• Support development of enterprise views of organizational change data; deliverables may include heat maps (impact, readiness, risk) and adoption/utilization outcomes that demonstrate change management value

Support Change Management Capability Maturity

• Support development of a maturity model and ongoing organizational assessments that help drive change capability maturity and growth

• Coordinate change management workshops and other engagement methods to advance internal knowledge and abilities, including change leadership mindsets and behaviors

QUALIFICATIONS AND SPECIAL SKILLS REQUIRED:

• Bachelor's degree required

• Prefer 2-3 years post college experience (preferably in consulting, project or change management, communications or training)

• Exposure to project management and change management methodologies

• Excellent communication skills (written and presentation)

• Ability to relate to all kinds of people and build effective relationships; strong EQ

• A detail-oriented approach - must pay close attention to the details and have the drive to get things right

• Strong organizational skills

• Ability to cope with pressure and changing priorities

• Trustworthy with confidential information

• Ability to work independently and exercise independent judgment

• Analytical ability - able to synthesize data, be able to error check and reconcile own work Strong MS Excel, PowerPoint, and Word skills, as well as ability to learn training applications (e.g. Articulate, Storyline, InDesign)

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS/ADA:

• Requirements: Consistent timeliness and regular attendance. Job requires ability to work in an office environment, primarily on a computer. The job also requires sitting, standing, talking on the telephone, attending in-person meetings, typing, and working with paper/files, etc.

• Occasional Requirements: Job occasionally requires bending, kneeling, reaching, and lifting up to 10 pounds. May also require occasional driving and traveling overnight for business functions.
