GENERAL PURPOSE:

The Senior Financial Analyst will manage core financial processes and lead critical financial analysis for the Loss Prevention team that supports Ross and dd's Discounts. This position will report to the Finance Manager - Store Finance. The Senior Financial Analyst will be required to regularly partner and interact with the leadership teams for both Loss Prevention and Store Finance. The Senior Financial Analyst will lead and manage the financials for Loss Prevention new stores, existing stores & expense budgeting and planning processes. The Senior Financial Analyst will also support the process of consolidating Store Expense, and managing other select accounts (e.g. Petty Cash, Travel, etc.).

The base salary range for this role is $77,900 - $117,050. The base salary range is dependent on factors including, but not limited to, experience, skills, qualifications, relevant education, certifications, seniority, and location. The range listed is just one component of the total compensation package for employees. Other rewards vary by position and location.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Lead the capital and expense forecast, reporting, and reconciliation processes for LP

• Partner with budget owners to ensure project updates are reflected accurately in forecast

• Prepare and validate journal entries (accruals & re-classes) and analyze open commitments for accuracy

• Monitor, research, and explain variances in actuals vs. budget and prior forecast

• Prepare financial reporting and share with Store Finance & LP leadership as needed

• Manage the department's capital CER's (Capital Expenditure Requests), including asset write off analysis and ROI analysis as required

• Lead the 5-year and annual budgeting processes for LP by understanding the business drivers and using that information to categorize and build budget models that accurately predict costs and timing of spend. Identify budget risks and cost offsets and summarize in a concise format

• Compile and distribute daily sales reporting information to Store Operations Leadership team

• Support Store Expense consolidation process and manage other select Store Expense accounts (e.g. Petty Cash, Travel, etc.). Provide financial support through ad hoc analysis where needed to support LP and Store Expense

• Train and support business partners and other partners in finance on financial processes and forecasting best practices

• Develop and maintain effective process documentation that others can use to complete this role's deliverables and responsibilities as needed

• Support other partners in Store Finance and understand their roles & responsibilities, acting as a back-up when needed

QUALIFICATIONS AND SPECIAL SKILLS REQUIRED:

• Bachelor's degree required (in an analytical field preferred)

• Prefer 4-6 years of relevant work experience, with planning and forecasting experience desirable

• Expertise with Microsoft Excel (vlookups, pivot tables, etc.).

• Strong analytical ability - the candidate should be able to synthesize data, error check, and reconcile work product

• Strong written and verbal communication skills with a customer focused, professional demeanor

• Ability to deal effectively with pressure, multiple tasks, deadlines and rapidly changing priorities

Job requires ability to work in an office environment, primarily on a computer.

Requires sitting, standing, walking, hearing, talking on the telephone, attending in-person meetings, typing, and working with paper/files, etc.

Consistent timeliness and regular attendance.

This role requires regular in-office presence, including to engage in in-person team interaction, meetings and collaboration, client support, mentoring, coaching, and/or feedback. However, this role can perform duties effectively using a combination of in-office and remote work. #LI-Hybrid
