About this job:

The Process Manager is accountable for executing Merchant vision within assigned product area. The Process Manager works to ensure that business process outcomes are in harmony with the organization’s strategic goals. They must work collaboratively across all departments of the organization to help improve the management of a business process. They focus on the entire process from beginning to end, introducing innovation into the process that can impact results, enhance profitability and assist the organization to meet its business objectives and goals. 

Responsibilities:

  • Execute Merchant vision within assigned product area. Evaluate, design, implement, measure, monitor and control business processes by product group (i.e. measures change in execution through merchant visit feedback).
  • Drive continuous process improvement of merchandise presentation for assigned area; proactively develop solutions/processes to improve efficiency and to ensure decisions fit with the overall business strategy and plans.
  • Service Merchant requests for merchandise within own product category.
  • Plan and execute Events as they relate to assigned product/category.
  • Coordinate and communicate new Merchant initiatives by product area (e.g., leather coats)
  • Lead monthly meetings with merchants to discuss and prepare for upcoming changes.
  • Effectively communicate with Corporate and Store Operations partners to drive merchandise presentation in stores; ensure timely development of Store Presentation Guide content related to own area and timely delivery of Store Presentation Guide materials to Store Operations.
  • Anticipate and communicate shortage concerns by product area.
  • Work across functions to ensure collaboration for shared goals.
  • Provide Merchant SME support for specific product area and timely responses to incoming presentation questions.

Desired Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • 5 years of previous experience in retail (Merchandising and/or Planning)
  • Strong listening and communication skills
  • Experience in establishing relationships and running cross-functional projects
  • RMS knowledge or the ability to operate as a subject matter expert for merchandise systems and processes
  • Strong time management skills and the ability to organize by logical work flow
  • Ability to provide structure around disparate requests and actions
