GENERAL PURPOSE:
The Supply Chain Strategic Initiatives Manager role supports and drives key company initiatives of advancing our Distribution Center (DC) inbound and outbound production planning processes. This individual will interface with Supply Chain leadership, DCs, Transportation, Corporate Planning, Finance, and IT. Responsibilities of the position include furthering our DC production planning platforms, managing projects with cross functional impacts, performing business analysis activities, and working with key users in the continual improvements of business processes within the supply chain environment. This individual will utilize critical thinking and analytical prowess to identify and solve problems. In addition, by following data patterns and insights, this individual should recommend ideas to leadership that will ultimately improve supply chain effectiveness and company profitability. Individual will be required to act as a logistics subject matter expert and work efficiently within the organization and guide leadership when questions arise.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Develop and operate as subject matter expert for logistic processes

• Drive creative and production planning improvements, focusing on advancing our processes with intelligence/automation and possible 3rd party software selection and implementation

• Proactively introduce and assess if new concepts/ideas and existing processes will provide the return necessary to warrant project investment through data and reporting analysis

• Troubleshoot issues associated with the planning and actualization of merchandise flow

• Develop and maintain reporting established to measure project progress and effectiveness

• Communicate strategy and plans across the organization

• Manage a team of 2 Sr. Analysts, including career and professional coaching and development of associates

• Proactively introduce and assess if new concepts/ideas and existing processes will provide the return necessary to warrant project investment through data and reporting analysis

QUALIFICATIONS AND SPECIAL SKILLS REQUIRED:

• At least 5-8 years of relevant experience

• 2+ years of people management experience

• Bachelor's degree required

• Strong critical thinking and analytical skills, able to comprehend and quickly break down complex scenarios/data/problems and come up with thoughtful and valuable insights/ideas/solutions

• A solid understanding of best practices in retail/consumer goods and/or supply chain/logistics/distribution

• Experience in executive-level communication and facilitating meetings that effectively drive decisions or alignment

• Track record of being collaborative with and influencing peers and leaders

• Willingness and flexibility to jump into the details to get the job done

• Advanced MS Excel skills

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS/ADA:
Job requires ability to work in an office environment, primarily on a computer.
Requires sitting, standing, walking, hearing, talking on the telephone, attending in-person meetings, typing, and working with paper/files, etc.
Consistent timeliness and regular attendance.
Vision requirements: Ability to see information in print and/or electronically.
May require up to 5% travel annually.
This role requires regular in-office presence, including to engage in in-person team interaction, meetings and collaboration, client support, mentoring, coaching, and/or feedback. However, this role can perform duties effectively using a combination of in-office and remote work.
