The Manager on the Corporate FP&A team will be responsible for driving long-term growth and financial results across the forecasting, reporting and long-term planning processes at Ross. This candidate will work cross-functionally with different business partners to deliver comprehensive financials and supporting analyses to senior leadership. The ideal candidate has a background in Finance, possesses strong analytical skills, and can partner effectively with all levels of stakeholders across the business. The Manager will report to the Sr. Director of Forecasting & Strategic Projects.

The base salary range for this role is $114,100 - $187,300. The base salary range is dependent on factors including, but not limited to, experience, skills, qualifications, relevant education, certifications, seniority, and location. The range listed is just one component of the total compensation package for employees. Other rewards vary by position and location.



• Manage the weekly forecast process and prepare a comprehensive summary for executive review

• Understand the details / drivers behind key B&S (e.g., cash, inventory, AP) and P&L lines (sales, gross margin, etc.) and make/recommend adjustments to reflect updated information

• Engage with business partners to understand and explain all substantial forecast changes succinctly for senior leadership

• Support the CFO and Investor Relations team by providing forecasted financial statements, earnings guidance models, preparing materials for board preparation and earnings scenarios.

• Support the ongoing evolution of the forecasting process by leveraging Hyperion to automate and enhance existing processes.

Long Term Planning / Budgeting

• Provide analytic decision and process support for key long range financial forecasting and budgeting activities related to long term growth and profitability

Reporting / Ad-hoc analysis

• Prepare weekly, monthly, and quarterly financial reports including analysis of business performance, inventory levels, and balance sheet data

• Provide ongoing analytical support to influence strategic direction, guide investor relations activities, and inform senior management and Board level discussion

• Provide ad-hoc analysis for senior management whenever necessary, ensuring tight deadlines are always met.

• Bachelor's degree required (preferably in an analytical field such as Finance, Economics, Accounting, etc.)

• CFA or MBA preferred

• Minimum 5-7 years post-college experience with demonstrated success at increasing levels of responsibility

• Strong analytical ability - must be able to synthesize data, be able to error check and reconcile own work and be able to design analysis to answer specific questions

• Excellent modeling ability - must have experience building financial models (ideally three-statement modeling) from scratch and be able to sense check end results

• Strong familiarity with core financial planning and analysis processes including budgeting, forecasting and financial control process design

• Strong Excel and PowerPoint skills, as well as ability to learn multiple back-end software applications (i.e. MicroStrategy, Hyperion, Peoplesoft Financial Systems, Flash Sales)

• Excellent communication skills - must be able to clearly communicate results and implications of analysis verbally and in writing

• Relationship building - needs to be able to build effective working relationships with a broad range of people across all levels of the organization

• Demonstrated ability to use discretion in handling highly sensitive confidential information


• Prior retail or related experience with understanding of the intricacies of a retail P&L and balance sheet including margin, store and supply chain cost drivers. The ideal candidate will also preferably understand and appreciate the nuances and financial operating requirements of an off-price, low-cost retail operator.


This role requires regular in-office presence, including attending in-person team interaction, meetings and collaboration, client support, mentoring, coaching, and/or feedback. However, this role can perform duties effectively using a combination of in-office and remote work. #LI-Hybrid
