Manager, Fixture Installation Best Practices

The Manager of Installation Best Practices is responsible for verifying all Capital fixture installations are completed to brand standard. This role will be responsible for building a best practice to identify and manage the go-back process for all fixture and signage installation projects at Ross and dd’s Stores. This position will establish and maintain consistent reporting to cross validate and support the go-back program. The manager will work with key business partners to ensure vendor timelines are met, react to feedback in a timely manner, troubleshoot issues and anticipate potential roadblocks to improve processes and service levels. This role with work closely with Fixture Purchasing and Sourcing teams to resolve fixture related issues with vendors. The position will be accountable for driving results through strong vendor relationships, communication and alignment, planning, prioritizing workload, analyzing, problem solving, and developing high performing teams.

This role will lead a team that travels extensively; identifying opportunities, validating workload completion and managing go-backs, related to capital fixture projects.

  • Ensure stores are visited timely, post fixture and signage installations to validate project completion, identify go-backs caused by installers, site conditions and gaps in fixture quality
  • Create consistent reporting and dashboards for each vendor. Analyze strengths and opportunities identified from the installation process and review findings with vendors and installers during business reviews
  • Track and support fixture and signage related issues with vendors; seeing through completion and resolution
  • Identify an analyze common themes and trends, at the completion of each Capital Project; i.e. fixture installation concerns or inconsistencies
  • Completes reporting at all levels, to include; high level summaries, breakdowns by store location and other reporting as assigned to support findings and ensure proper communication to all stakeholders
  • Foster a collaborative structure to support better vendor relationships
  • Develop and implement a store visit protocol to ensure processes are clear and documented
  • Leads the development of annual budgets for their respective business, along with approving monthly forecasts
  • Collaborate with Sourcing, Fixture Design, and Fixture Purchasing during the onboarding of new fixture and signage vendors
  • Provide feedback to Fixture Design team on specific trends or inconsistencies seen during store visits
  • Travel to direct import fixture factories; validating fixture quality
  • Travels to Ross and dd’s discount stores to oversee quality and delivery of fixtures, installation, and execution of all operational activities

  • Four-year college degree preferred
  • Minimum 5 year experience in a retail environment
  • Project Management administration experience
  • Strong planning and organizational skills
  • Advanced proficiency in Word, Excel and Power Point
  • Strong vendor management and negotiation skills
  • Domestic and International travel required (60% of the time)

Job requires ability to work in an office environment, primarily on a computer.
Requires sitting, standing, walking, hearing, talking on the telephone, attending in-person meetings, typing, and working with paper/files, etc.

Vision requirements: Ability to see information in print and/or electronically.
Ability to drive and valid driver’s license and insurance as deemed necessary for position
