The Manager of AP Controls is responsible for managing all aspects of Accounts Payable controls. Responsible for the monthly AP Merchandise (APM) reconciliation and reporting, including evaluating and improving AP systems, process, and ensuring internal controls are in compliance with Sarbanes Oxley requirements. Oversee monitoring of the daily roll forward of AP balances, open receipts and unmatched Import payments. Responsible for the maintenance of PeopleSoft and Ariba user profiles, and actively monitor to ensure proper workflow approval. Prepare the AP leverage forecast, which supports the monthly cash forecast process, and understand the business drivers that impact AP leverage. Responsible for AP internal audits including capital expenditures, AP expenses, T&E reimbursed expenses and T&E meal compliance.


• Oversee preparation and review the monthly AP Merchandise reconciliation, including monitoring of daily rollforward, forecasting aged receipts and the impact to cost adjustments. Maintain and evaluate systems and procedures and suggest and implement changes to improve processes.

• Forecast monthly AP leverage and partner with FP&A and Treasury on alignment of the cash forecast. Maintain strong business relations with AP, Inventory, Accounting and DCs to understand business drivers and the impact to forecast.

• Supervise the review of AP system access including roles and permissions for PeopleSoft and Ariba. Complete the IDM attestation quarterly

• Oversee and review AP internal audit results of capital expenditures, AP expense duplicates, T&E duplicates, T&E meal compliance and ACH bank call validations. Assist in the coordination of external contingency audit related to accounts payables.

• Supervise the researching, documenting and resolving accounting matters related to AP controls. Complete quarterly/YE projects including annual vendor count and annual vendor deactivation.

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting

• Certified Public Accountant preferred

• 6-8 years work experience in accounting and financial controls

• Strong understanding of internal controls and ability to evaluate policies and procedures

• Strong desire to improve processes and procedures, be a catalyst for change

• Strong analytical skills

• Good communication skills

• Proficient with PeopleSoft, Microsoft Excel, Word & PowerPoint

• Detail oriented, with a strong emphasis on accuracy

• Ability to work as a team member on projects of all sizes

Job requires ability to work in an office environment, primarily on a computer.
Requires sitting, standing, walking, hearing, talking on the telephone, attending in-person meetings, typing, and working with paper/files, etc.

Vision requirements: Ability to see information in print and/or electronically.
This role requires regular in-office presence, including to engage in in-person team interaction, meetings and collaboration, client support, mentoring, coaching, and/or feedback. However, this role can perform duties effectively using a combination of in-office and remote work.
