IT Manager I (Supply Chain Crossdock)

GENERAL PURPOSE:
The IT Manager I is responsible for leading delivery of Crossdock projects within Supply Chain in collaboration with IT support teams, vendors and Ross Transportation. This includes partnering with those organizations to install new technology deployments and ensure the operational functionality of each Crossdock facility by third party operator. This position will also serve as the primary point of contact for support needs, engaging the necessary managed services vendor(s). Ensures consistency of technology and support structures for the Crossdocks are consistent as applicable across the Supply Chain portfolio and within IT. Reports to Director, IT Operations.

The ideal candidate will have deep expertise around technical project delivery best practices to deliver projects in an efficient, timely manner without impacting system stability. Proven track record and ability to balance desired solution end-state within support constraints and with a pragmatic lens.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Manages a high-performance team of 3rd party service providers and contractors in the delivery and support of existing and future Crossdock facilities

• Follows the internal Ross SDLC processes for and challenge technical solutions to ensure risks are mitigated and business impacts are minimized.

• Serves as a liaison and subject matter expert for the Crossdock Infrastructure IT environments within both the Supply Chain and overall IT organization.

• Maintains a strong working relationship of trust with Ross Crossdock Transportations Operations, Loss Prevention, and Maintenance leadership and associates.

• Provides coaching and direction to direct reports to empower them to provide superior customer service to Crossdock users.

• Build and maintain key vendor relationships, budgets, and schedule with support team.

• Review systems and practices to ensure compliance in procedures, regulations and standards and continual improvement.

QUALIFICATIONS AND SPECIAL SKILLS REQUIRED:

• 5-10 years' experience as an IT Manager overseeing a team of 3-5 employees.

• Undergraduate degree or equivalent work experience in information systems, computer science, or a related technical discipline.

• Demonstrated ability to thrive in an ambiguous and fast-paced IT environment.

• Demonstrated ability to prioritize time and tasks with little direction in order to complete work on schedule.

• Excellent planning and organizational skills. Demonstrated ability to bring order to complex and competing demands.

• Strong analytical ability, judgment and problem analysis techniques

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS/ADA:
This role requires regular in-office presence, including to engage in in-person team interaction, meetings and collaboration, client support, mentoring, coaching, and/or feedback. This position requires the ability to use a computer, work as part of a team, and the ability to communicate with team members and others. However, this role can perform duties effectively using a combination of in-office and remote work.
May require occasional driving and/or traveling overnight for business functions or site visits. #LI-Hybrid
