Engineer II (Enterprise Systems Management)

GENERAL PURPOSE:
The Enterprise Systems Management Engineer will be responsible for solutions engineering, implementation, and integration around enterprise systems management (ESM) software covering IT infrastructure and application monitoring, along with job scheduling. Serves as a functional and/or technical expert in one or more disciplines.

The base salary range for this role is $93,200 - $176,550. The base salary range is dependent on factors including, but not limited to, experience, skills, qualifications, relevant education, certifications, seniority, and location. The range listed is just one component of the total compensation package for employees. Other rewards vary by position and location.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Analyze operational, system and application needs, determine and evaluate potential solutions, develop system specifications and requirements, and implement solutions to meet the requirements following industry best practices.

• Ensure that current and planned technical solutions are compatible with the company's business needs and strategic objectives.

• Work with the other IT organizations to design, develop, and implement Enterprise Systems solutions in support of development, test, and production environments.

• Provide technical expertise and assistance to other IT groups.

• Collaborate with others throughout IT to ensure timely and successful issue resolution.

QUALIFICATIONS AND SPECIAL SKILLS REQUIRED:

• Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.

• 7-10 years of experience in Enterprise Tools system design, implementation, and 3rd level support activities

• Experience installing, configuring, and administering systems management software tools such as Splunk, Dynatrace, Microsoft System Center Operations Manager (SCOM) or Broadcom (formerly CA) Unified Infrastructure Management (UIM).

• Experience using and administering platform specific management tools such as Oracle Cloud Control, HP OneView.

• Experience with deploying monitoring solutions to cloud technologies, preferably Azure.

• Strong understanding of networking principles and topologies.

• Experience with enterprise job scheduling tools such as BMC Control-M.

• Experience installing and configuring, and SNMP based management solutions.

• Experience with PowerShell and/or other scripting tools.

• Experience integrating with ServiceNow or other ITSM and CMDB applications.

• Excellent organizational and time management skills.

• Proven analytical and problem-solving abilities.
