GENERAL PURPOSE:The Director of Corporate Applications will lead the Corporate Applications team for IT, including management of the Corporate Applications portfolio (HR, Finance, Legal, Marketing, and Strategy), implementation of projects, support, and liaison with business customers and internal IT teams. Partner with cross-functional teams, including HR, Finance, Legal, Marketing, Strategy, IT, and other operational and strategy teams, to understand how to best align IT capabilities to achieve critical business outcomes. The position will also be responsible for leading many critical HR and Finance technology programs that will deliver benefits as identified now and look for additional opportunities to improve operational efficiency, employee experience, and compliance. Build relationships with key stakeholders and partner with them to align IT roadmaps. Serve as the go-to person for the business for new requests, IT projects, and demand - developing an understanding of targeted outcomes and value expectations for each. This is a highly visible role with IT executives and directly interfaces with the business community.
In this role, you will also be responsible for owning some of the SOX IT controls.
The base salary range for this role is $124,600 - $234,850. The base salary range is dependent on factors including, but not limited to, experience, skills, qualifications, relevant education, certifications, seniority, and location. The range listed is just one component of the total compensation package for employees. Other rewards vary by position and location.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
• Lead & mentor a team of IT delivery leaders, technical leads, and subject matter experts to evolve the Corporate Applications portfolio team to support upcoming large IT initiatives
• Act as Solution Manager for HR and Finance IT projects, including large initiatives; manage portfolio product roadmaps, resource, scope, and timeline commitments
• Represent Corporate Applications Delivery as a key participant in the IT 5-year planning and road mapping process and manage ongoing business demand; establish process and cadence for prioritization and status of demand items with key business stakeholders.
• Build a high-performing team of portfolio owners with project delivery skills and HR and Finance business acumen; partner across broader IT and business teams to optimize project delivery methodology
• Work with business and IT leadership to ensure roadmap alignment and business commitment
• Consult with senior business leaders to align priorities with broader strategic IT initiatives
• Ensure that individual project teams are constructed and staffed to deliver commitments effectively
• Provide ongoing support and leadership to align projects with our data governance principles
• Ensure the team works effectively across IT and follows processes and engagement models with cross-functional IT partners
• Manage budget, resources, and schedules across multiple projects and internal and system integrator staff. Coordinate with other programs and IT's horizontal services
• Identify, manage, and communicate issues, risks, and dependencies to project stakeholders and sponsors
• Act as an expert on what is happening in the HR and Finance Technology landscape and bring that expertise into Ross business discussions

QUALIFICATIONS AND SPECIAL SKILLS REQUIRED:
• Undergraduate degree in information systems, business administration, or a related technical discipline. An advanced degree in a similar field is preferred.
• At least 10 to 15 years of experience in IT delivery with progressive responsibility and influence. Experience leading projects that involved cloud migration or business transformation is preferred.
• At least 5 years of retail IT experience, with specific systems knowledge of major back-office corporate applications, with demonstrated depth in HR and Finance systems such as PeopleSoft HR/Payroll, PeopleSoft Finance, Cloud HCM, Cloud Recruiting & Onboarding, Talent Management, etc.,
• Demonstrated experience partnering with business teams to translate pain points or opportunities into capability needs with targeted, measurable outcomes, preferably in a Portfolio Management leadership capacity.
• Demonstrated experience in developing and prioritizing business requirements, coordination of business testing, and partnering with delivery teams for business programs/projects.
• Demonstrated ability to execute basic financial analysis, such as estimating, managing cash flow and ROI
• Strong analytical ability, business acumen, judgment, and problem-solving skills
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, and able to work effectively with VP and above executives
• Ability to build and lead geographically distributed teams and work across different time zones. Experience managing teams over 20 FTEs, including subcontractors and offshore resources.

Preferred Qualifications
• Working knowledge of HR and Finance applications such as HCM/HRMS, NA Payroll, Global Absence Management, Talent Acquisition, Talent Management, Finance ERP (AP, GL, AM), etc.
• Consulting experience
• Experience with a major retailer
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS/ADA:
This role requires regular in-office presence, including to engage in in-person team interaction, meetings and collaboration, client support, mentoring, coaching, and/or feedback. This position requires the ability to use a computer, work as part of a team, and the ability to communicate with team members and others. However, this role can perform duties effectively using a combination of in-office and remote work. #LI-Hybrid
