GENERAL PURPOSE:Responsible for analyzing, identifying, and resolving Import/International payment transactions and variances related to Ross established payment controls. Review the daily Import transactions for accuracy and for compliance with Ross established policies and procedures. Perform a weekly/monthly Import Sub-Ledger account reconciliation, identify and analyze variances and provide recommendation for resolution. Support the International Finance Manager in achieving department goals and efficiencies by identifying and preparing key metrics and productivity dashboard reporting for presentation to management. Under Manager's supervision and guidance, assist in cross-training key job functions in the department.
The base salary range for this role is $64,500 - $91,850. The base salary range is dependent on factors including, but not limited to, experience, skills, qualifications, relevant education, certifications, seniority, and location. The range listed is just one component of the total compensation package for employees. Other rewards vary by position and location.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Maintain accurate payment information and maintenance of monthly Import and International payment sheets for all daily reporting related to Import goods, ensuring a clean audit trail.
Responsible for weekly/month-end Import Account reconciliation, including clearing RAPY reports; identify exception variances, producing reports, review of corresponding prepaid aging reporting and interpretation and analysis of data and recommendation for resolution.
Partner with Manager, Int'l Finance in monthly payment forecast by compiling data/reporting for future payments
Act as SME (Subject Matter Expert) and support and perform the user acceptance testing (UAT) during system upgrades and enhancements related to Imports in Bamboo Rose (BR), PeopleSoft (PSFT), and Merchandise Exception Resolution Application (MERA).
Maintain good relationships with International Finance team, Ross/dd's buyers, assigned banks, agents, vendors, and all other departments.
Report preparation to complete weekly and monthly reports
Contribute to training documents for AP Import associates to ensure new and existing processes are documented in alignment with Ross's policy, processes, and procedures.
Effectively and timely communicate with vendors, employees, project managers and IT to address and resolve inquiries or issues related to the systems.

QUALIFICATIONS AND SPECIAL SKILLS REQUIRED:
Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance or Accounting
2-4 years of Finance, banking, Import and/or Accounting experience
Solid knowledge of AP systems and Operations with background in International Trade highly preferred
Prior experience in a large ERP AP system such as People Soft or Oracle.
Prior experience in high volume payment transactions is desired.
Strong verbal and written communication attributes and effective interpersonal skills to successfully collaborate with key business partners, management and vendors.
Solid judgement skills in identifying issues for escalation to management
Must possess solid analytical abilities along with intermediate to advanced Excel skills

This role requires regular in-office presence, including attending in-person team interaction, meetings and collaboration, client support, mentoring, coaching, and/or feedback. However, this role can perform duties effectively using a combination of in-office and remote work. #LI-Hybrid
