GENERAL PURPOSE:

The Director of Field Communications is responsible for developing effective partnerships with cross-functional business partners to effectively gatekeep and implement all field communication strategies and tactics. This position also provides leadership and support for all processes associated with organizing annual large-scale meetings.

This is a hands-on role, which requires an understanding of Store Operations and cross-functional collaboration in order to develop field communication. This role will be responsible for directly supervising others including but not limited to a Sr. Manager, Manager, and Lead positions.

The base salary range for this role is $128,300 - $241,850. The base salary range is dependent on factors including, but not limited to, experience, skills, qualifications, relevant education, certifications, seniority, and location. The range listed is just one component of the total compensation package for employees. Other rewards vary by position and location.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Maximize efficiency by aligning, resourcing and identifying opportunities to create synergies across work streams; standardizing and increasing efficiency of current communication practices by providing more structure and identifying the best vehicles for each audience.

• Gatekeeps communication and initiatives for stores, ensuring communication and programs are communicated in a way that is consistent with company culture and drives increased focus on the messaging.

• Responsible for leading and evolving the best use of store communications tools like task management and the internal Sharepoint site to ensure consistent operational execution.

• Collaborates with various cross-functional leadership and team members in the development of external and internal communication strategies for key strategic initiatives. This includes creating, managing, editing and approving all field communications to ensure communications maximize the ability for stores to execute operational direction easily and quickly.

• Interfaces with and presents up to all levels of management (President, Vice Presidents, District Managers and stores).

• Provide support for the teams, as well as creative input and oversight to plan and execute large scale meetings including, but not limited to:
o Research and negotiate vendor services, ensuring the best quality and value while staying within budget guidelines and adhering to corporate standards
o Work with committees and various staff to develop a program for events; including speakers, topics and timing
o Researches, writes, edits, and catalogues remarks, and prepares speeches and presentations that will be delivered by Executives
o Develop and manage budgets to ensure expenses are kept within established parameters

QUALIFICATIONS AND SPECIAL SKILLS REQUIRED:

• Proven experience in managing teams including ability to provide direction, understand resource capability and successfully drive results working with direct reports, business partners and/or external resources

• 5+ years of experience leading the development and execution of key operational and strategic functions with a retailer preferred

• MBA strongly preferred

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office with strong PowerPoint and Excel skills

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS/ADA:

Job requires ability to work in an office environment, primarily on a computer.
Requires sitting, standing, walking, hearing, talking on the telephone, attending in-person meetings, typing, and working with paper/files, etc.
Consistent timeliness and regular attendance.
Vision requirements: Ability to see information in print and/or electronically.

This role requires regular in-office presence, including to engage in in-person team interaction, meetings and collaboration, client support, mentoring, coaching, and/or feedback. However, this role can perform duties effectively using a combination of in-office and remote work. #LI-Hybrid
