GENERAL PURPOSE:This position is responsible for supporting all aspects of Fixture Design from a project management and coordination perspective, including all initiatives related to fixtures and material projects for Ross and dd's stores. The position also supports NYBO, Corp offices, Fixtures for all Store Operation projects including Headquarters. The responsibilities encompass qualifying new vendors to broaden the company's vendor portfolio and create fixture cost savings for samples, fixture tests and POC's. This role also supports, Merchandising and other business partner operations when necessary. A key component of this role is understanding the Ross and dd's brands and their current fixture programs, brand rules and fixture standards.
The base salary range for this role is $93,000 - $140,400. The base salary range is dependent on factors including, but not limited to, experience, skills, qualifications, relevant education, certifications, seniority, and location. The range listed is just one component of the total compensation package for employees. Other rewards vary by position and location.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
• Leads a team with a high degree of project management expertise to drive development and support of all aspects in Fixture Design.
• Drives for results by associating closely with fixture vendors to understand general manufacturing methods such as differentiating materials, finishes and provide functionality know-how on new and existing designs. Proficient in basic knowledge of fixture industry and designing while using engineering instruments to sustain quality control over the vendor's fixture manufacturing processes.
• Accountable for comparing a substantial quantity of manufacturing drawings and fixture samples to preserve a high level of fixture quality utilizing SolidWorks/AutoCAD Reader.
• Manages vendor relationships; cost negotiations, timelines, holding vendors accountable through written and verbal communication by participating in weekly vendor conference calls, vendor virtual drawing reviews, prototype set-up and physical or virtual reviews. Provides direction and feedback through recaps to ensure deliverables and timelines are met.
• Applies problem solving and critical thinking to understand root cause of failed/issues with prototypes and provides solutions.
• Owns the management and measuring of workload for the company initiatives/Direct Import timeline calendars through collaborating with the Engineer and internal business partners on all design initiatives to keep projects on-track.
• Leads and presents company initiatives/Direct Import fixture reviews with business partners and Executives.
• Manages the samples and first articles of production in the test labs. This includes but is not limited to; with Specialist, coordinate inventory of all Company Initiative/Direct Import fixtures, prototype/sample review and set-up, reorganization, purging fixtures, maintaining the standards to keep the labs neat, clean and organized.
• Collaborate and support with Store Project Planning & Execution in POC store visits/lab reviews to evaluate first articles of production and confirms fixture qualities of fit, function, and finish from prototype to production remain.
• Expectancy of continual development in fixture design functions, this includes, but is not limited to; utilizing People Soft and other various software platforms, participate in competitive shopping visits, designing fixtures, and leading a fixture project from concept to approval.

QUALIFICATIONS AND SPECIAL SKILLS REQUIRED:
• Bachelor's Degree in retail, business or design related field preferred.
• 3+ years of either retail Store, Corporate and/or design project management experience required.
• 3+ years' managerial experience leading a team of two or more direct reports
• 3+ years' experience in fixture and/or furniture management, design and/or testing.
• Proficient in MS Project, PowerPoint, Outlook, Excel, Word and Adobe Acrobat Pro with an understanding of AutoCAD reader. SolidWorks and Photoshop a plus.
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational and communication skills (written and verbal).
• Analytical skills and able to interpret/review renderings and manufacturer drawings/details.
• Proficiency to work autonomously and deliver accurate data on-time.
• High degree of reliability, including accountability for daily, weekly, and long-term projects.
• Knowledge of ADA code is a plus.

Job requires ability to work in an office environment, primarily on a computer.
Requires sitting, standing, walking, hearing, talking on the telephone, attending in-person meetings, typing, and working with paper/files, etc.
Consistent timeliness and regular attendance.
Vision requirements: Ability to see information in print and/or electronically.
This role requires regular in-office presence, including to engage in in-person team interaction, meetings and collaboration, client support, mentoring, coaching, and/or feedback. However, this role can perform duties effectively using a combination of in-office and remote work.
