GENERAL PURPOSE:

The Sr. Loss Prevention Agent supports store safety and loss prevention programs by identifying, deterring, and resolving theft and fraud while serving as a trusted leader and subject matter resource within the Loss Prevention Agent team. In addition to performing all core Loss Prevention Agent responsibilities, this role assists in the training, coaching, and certification of Loss Prevention Agents to ensure readiness to perform full job duties upon completion of training. The Sr. Agent works closely with LP Field Leaders, corporate investigators, and external partners to document findings, support complex investigations, and lead the resolution of significant external theft incidents both in and outside of stores. This position ensures a safe shopping and working environment that delivers value to our customers and supports company values of integrity, respect, accountability, learning, and humility.

The base pay range for this role is $23.61 - $34.06. The base pay range is dependent on factors including, but not limited to, experience, skills, qualifications, relevant education, certifications, seniority, and location. The range listed is just one component of the total compensation package for employees. Other rewards vary by position and location.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Perform all core duties of the Loss Prevention Agent role, including monitoring stores for theft and fraud and following company policies to deter or apprehend individuals after validating dishonest acts have occurred.

• Take lead on complex, high risk, or high value external theft investigations, including incidents spanning multiple locations or involving repeat offenders, ensuring proper documentation and escalation.

• Monitor store entrances, exits, sales floor, and checkout areas to identify theft or fraudulent behavior and coordinate investigative activity as needed.

• Observe and engage individuals exhibiting dishonest actions using approved techniques to prevent potential loss and support safe incident resolution.

• Utilize CCTV, reporting tools, and investigative resources to detect theft indicators, validate incidents, and identify patterns or emerging trends.

• Accurately document incidents, maintain evidence, and provide detailed, timely reports and investigative summaries to leadership and Investigations teams.

• Partner with LP leadership and law enforcement to resolve theft cases and support apprehensions when authorized, including assisting with case development and follow up.

• Assist with trespass enforcement for repeat or high risk offenders in compliance with company policy and legal guidelines.

• Support the training, onboarding, and certification of Loss Prevention Agents by assisting with field training, scenario based exercises, job shadowing, and skills validation.

• Provide ongoing coaching, guidance, and peer mentorship to Loss Prevention Agents, reinforcing proper execution, safety practices, and policy compliance.

• Observe Agent performance and communicate readiness, development needs, or performance concerns to LP Field Leaders and Training partners.

• Collaborate with internal teams on major theft incidents and contribute to reviews, debriefs, and follow up investigations to drive learning and continuous improvement.

• Identify and report safety hazards and operational vulnerabilities to store management and LP leadership, supporting corrective action and risk mitigation.

• Serve as a role model and trusted leader within the Loss Prevention team by demonstrating sound judgment, professionalism, and adherence to company standards.

• Perform additional duties as assigned to support loss prevention, training, and investigative objectives.

QUALIFICATIONS AND SPECIAL SKILLS REQUIRED:

• High School education or equivalent required, AA degree preferred.

• 3+ years experience in loss prevention, retail, or security.

• Demonstrated ability to work effectively both independently and within a team in a fast-paced environment

• Ability to collaborate effectively with internal and external partners including law enforcement

• Strong written and oral communication skills

• Demonstrated ability to build and maintain working relationships with associates at all levels of the organization

• Excellent customer service skills

• Demonstrated ability to effectively problem solve with the proper sense of urgency

• Must be able to comply with all applicable federal and state laws and regulations for security positions, including but not limited to, additional background screening, physical examination, fingerprinting and/or drug and alcohol testing as required

• Ability to make quality judgment in little to no response time

Job requires ability to work in an office environment, primarily on a computer.

Requires sitting, standing, walking, hearing, talking on the telephone, attending in-person meetings, typing, and working with paper/files, etc.

Consistent timeliness and regular attendance.

Vision requirements: Ability to see information in print and/or electronically.

This role requires regular in-office presence, including to engage in in-person team interaction, meetings and collaboration, client support, mentoring, coaching, and/or feedback. However, this role can perform duties effectively using a combination of in-office and remote work.
