GENERAL PURPOSE:
The Senior Systems Administrator will be responsible for working on complex projects, assignments, and issues where they will determine methods and procedures needed. They will also coordinate activities of other associates from among all support teams involved, not just network, as the situation warrants. Areas of focus include relationship management, service transition, service management, service integration, and technical operations activities.

The base salary range for this role is $108,900 - $178,800. The base salary range is dependent on factors including, but not limited to, experience, skills, qualifications, relevant education, certifications, seniority, and location. The range listed is just one component of the total compensation package for employees. Other rewards vary by position and location.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Relationship Management

• Provide inputs to production SLAs for systems of low to moderate complexity. Drive accountability for meeting SLAs.

• Review SLA compliance reports and define activity changes to adhere to SLAs in the future for low to moderately complex initiatives.

• Assist Architecture and Engineering with new Versa security related solutions ensuring they are compatible with the company's business needs and strategic objectives.

• Work with vendors, service providers and other infrastructure teams
Service Transition

• Plan and manage service readiness for new or enhanced services of low to moderately complex scope.

• Ensure that new or changed services satisfy all readiness criteria and are ready for production deployment for low to moderately complex projects.
Service Management

• Plan and recommend procedures for service request management.

• Maintain incident management process and procedures and resolve complex incidents.

• Design, deploy and manage Versa SSE solutions in conjunction with Engineering and Level 2 teams.

• Review and analyze new requests, work with IT partners, Project teams, vendors, and leadership to understand requirements; Recommend solutions that integrate with the Versa network environment using standard methods and practices.
Service Integration

• Review SLA reports and recommend service improvement opportunities.

• Make recommendations for updates to the service catalogue on IT services delivered to customers.

• Research, evaluate, develop, design and implement Versa standards following industry best practices.

• Develops and implements policies and procedures relative to Versa and dependent technologies
Technical Operations

• Determine remediating actions for simple to moderately complex new events.

• Manage system health, maintenance, recovery and basic application technical tuning for established initiatives.

• Analyze performance of the Versa environment, reacting to sub-optimal operational performance, and business-wide issues; Participate with the L2/L3 production support team; help identify and develop efficiency opportunities.

• Maintain Versa infrastructure health monitoring, reporting and notification tools. Contribute to the optimization of monitoring for the environment.

• Maintain Versa infrastructure hardware including ongoing software/firmware patches or upgrades. This includes evaluating and testing patches and new releases to ensure successful introduction to the Ross environment.

• Coordinate activities of Versa and other support teams, both internal and external, for project, maintenance, or outage activities.

QUALIFICATIONS AND SPECIAL SKILLS REQUIRED:

• 6-8 years of experience in the IT field or equivalent work experience.

• Bachelor's Degree with a concentration in computer science, or an equivalent diploma

• 5+ or more years engineering, architecture, or operations experience delivering Versa and other firewall technologies (Panorama) solutions in a large enterprise.

• Experience providing technical support for L2/L3 and other operations teams. On-call support as required for outages, emergencies and/or escalations.

• Provided successful onsite delivery of Versa solutions for a previous firm globally.

• Experience working with Versa SSE specifically. Knowledge of other Versa technology offerings helpful.

• Senior level experience with recent versions of Versa SSE.

• Mid level experience with another firewall product such as Panorama including but not limited to proxy, DNS, IPS, etc.

• Must have hands-on experience working with current versions of Versa SSE

• Ability to create, maintain, and review Versa documentation specific for the Ross architecture and installation as well as general network documentation such as topologies, network maps, configurations and processes.

• Basic knowledge of logging technology, such as Accenture MxDR.

• Basic knowledge of CMDB and how it is used in conjunction with network equipment.

Job requires ability to work in an office environment, primarily on a computer.
Requires sitting, standing, walking, hearing, talking on the telephone, attending in-person meetings, typing, and working with paper/files, etc.
Consistent timeliness and regular attendance.
Vision requirements: Ability to see information in print and/or electronically.
Occasional Requirements: Job occasionally requires bending, kneeling, reaching, and lifting up to 50 pounds.
May also require occasional driving and/or traveling overnight for business functions or site visits.
This role requires regular in-office presence, including to engage in in-person team interaction, meetings and collaboration, client support, mentoring, coaching, and/or feedback. However, this role can perform duties effectively using a combination of in-office and remote work.
