Systems Administrator (Service Delivery Lead)

GENERAL PURPOSE:


The Systems Administrator/Service Delivery Lead is an experienced IT professional with Project Management and IT infrastructure delivery experience. The role assumes overall accountability for IT infrastructure services and delivery for assigned portfolios, including portfolio demand and communication. Moreover, the role drives activities of IT projects as they pertain to infrastructure architecture, requirements, procurements, high-level design, and all cross- functional team coordination. The role maintains project financials and first level of escalation for Build Lead.


ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:


Project Initiation and Planning:

  • Own portfolio demand and roadmap and work with portfolio PM to initiate projects planning
  • Provide project Estimates and Bill of Materials (BOM) for PFR and CER
  • Manage scope changes to projects
  • Own communication and coordination across cross-functional teams (architecture, iGRC, DR, Network, Security)
  • Support portfolio PM for any Service Transition and TCO meetings through all phases of project

Requirements and Architecture:

  • Develop and own the Infrastructure Project Plan for the project
  • Conduct Infrastructure Project Kick-Offs
  • Review iGRC/Security requirements
  • Share Final Solution Architecture (FSA) with stakeholders and follow up on sign-offs
  • Coordinate design approvals / infra questions / activities from IT and Engr teams (iGRC, DR, Network, Security)
  • Procurement of infrastructure hardware, software, and professional services (create and submit purchase orders (POs) and SOWs)

Design:

  • Monitor hardware and software purchases delivery with vendor and its dependencies on timelines
  • Maintain project forecasts and actual spend (as needed)
  • Attend CAB meetings to seek approval of infrastructure change orders (COs) for assigned projects
  • Create status reports, host infrastructure status meetings and publish meeting minutes
  • Maintain infrastructure project plan
  • Manage issues, risks, and escalations

Build and Test:

  • Monitor and report project infrastructure progress
  • Maintain project plan
  • Drive alignment across project stakeholders to address questions / issues on infra
  • Manage issues, risks, and escalations
  • Coordinate Pen Test with PM and coordinate remediation with Build Lead

Go Live and Transition:

  • Manage detailed infra cutover plans
  • Monitor and report project infrastructure progress
  • Maintain project plan
  • Drive alignment across project stakeholders
  • Manage issues, risks, and escalations

QUALIFICATIONS AND SPECIAL SKILLS REQUIRED:

  • Candidate must have a Bachelor’s degree in MIS, Computer Science, Engineering or related field.
  • Candidate must have 3 to 5 years of project management experience supporting IT projects. Candidate should have a working understanding of IT infrastructure building blocks including: operating system, database, storage, backup, monitoring, network, load balancer, firewall.
  • Candidate must have knowledge and experience delivering IT projects following a system development life cycle (SDLC) methodology.
  • Demonstrate Effective leadership and analytical skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication; must be able to communicate technical solutions to senior management

Job requires ability to work in an office environment, primarily on a computer.
