GENERAL PURPOSE:

The Senior Tax Manager is a key contributor to the Global Tax Group which will be responsible for managing audit defense, income tax compliance, and various aspects of tax planning at a Fortune 500 and NASDAQ 100 company.

The base salary range for this role is $114,100 - $187,300. The base salary range is dependent on factors including, but not limited to, experience, skills, qualifications, relevant education, certifications, seniority, and location. The range listed is just one component of the total compensation package for employees. Other rewards vary by position and location.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Manage the international, federal, and state income tax examination process. Liaison with outside firms for support on an as needed basis.

• Support special projects such as tax planning, restructuring, tax incentive and credit initiatives, and tax accounting method changes.

• Oversee all aspects of domestic & international income tax compliance including the preparation and timely filing of the consolidated federal, state income tax returns, & international filings.

• Manage the calculation of all book-to-tax differences including fixed asset depreciation and inventory related differences.

• Oversee the quarterly income tax calculations and payments.

• Research tax issues, review legislative developments, and evaluate the tax impact respectively.

• Build collaborative working relationships with the tax reporting group, indirect tax group, and other business partners.

QUALIFICATIONS AND SPECIAL SKILLS REQUIRED:

• BA/BS Degree in Accountancy

• CPA and/or MS in Tax strongly preferred

• 10+ years of experience with progressive responsibilities

• Ability to manage and motivate internal and external staff

• Experience with CorpTax is a plus

• Experience with Peoplesoft is a plus

• Superior judgment and critical thinking skills

• Versatility, flexibility, and a willingness to work within constantly changing priorities with enthusiasm

• Self-starter and performance oriented

• Ability to carry out job responsibilities in a timely and accurate manner

• Excellent oral and written communication

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS/ADA:

Job requires ability to work in an office environment, primarily on a computer.
Requires sitting, standing, walking, hearing, talking on the telephone, attending in-person meetings, typing, and working with paper/files, etc.
Consistent timeliness and regular attendance.
Vision requirements: Ability to see information in print and/or electronically.
This role requires regular in-office presence, including to engage in in-person team interaction, meetings and collaboration, client support, mentoring, coaching, and/or feedback. However, this role can perform duties effectively using a combination of in-office and remote work. #LI-Hybrid
