Sr. Manager, Allocation Plan Achievement

GENERAL PURPOSE:

The Sr. Allocation Plan Achievement (PA) Manager owns the operation of allocation strategies and process improvement for his/her business area of responsibility. He/she builds and leverages the capability of his/her teams to proactively drive solutions to business issues and support go-forward strategies. Key accountabilities will include managing inventory at the store and product level to drive sales and minimize markdowns. This individual independently translates broad priorities from Directors and Vice Presidents into strategies for his/her individual teams. He/she acts as the point of contact and works with Cross Functional and Allocation senior business partners as well as his/her team to identify opportunities to drive allocation strategies while recommending improvements in existing processes. He/she supervises the work of his/her direct reports, holding them accountable for achieving assigned goals. The Sr. Manager develops his/her direct reports, including other Managers, through providing timely coaching, feedback, and training.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Plan Achievement & Strategy Management

• Lead and support the management of initiatives and process improvement, to effectively supporting the needs of the department

• Managing inventory at the store and product level to drive sales and minimize markdowns.

• Manage ad-hoc data requests and direct work appropriately across his/her teams in fulfilling the requests in a timely, effective manner

• Analyze the business issues, tools, and/or processes of his/her teams to identify opportunities for improvement

• Work with senior business partners to implement improvements in existing processes, while recommending new opportunities.

• Work across and support other key Allocation teams, when appropriate, to analyze existing metrics and identify opportunities for better alignment with Plan Achievement

Communication

• Drive communication across internally to department, to ensure strategies are aligned.

• Act as senior business partners' first point of contact for analysis and issue resolution for area of responsibility

• Provide senior level business partners with analytic results and recommendation to improve the existing Allocation Plan Achievement approaches and processes

• Provide status updates on multiple work stream efforts to Director and senior business partners as needed.

People Management

• Provide coaching and feedback to direct reports on daily tasks

• Provide timely follow up on career development and coaching

• Conduct and manage the performance processes to identify key areas for associate development, ensuring fair and time-bound measurement and assessment of goals throughout focal year

• Partner with associates to develop an Individual Development Plan (IDP) that supports them in developing key areas and achieving career goals.

• Develop associates to prepare for other Allocation roles, as appropriate.

QUALIFICATIONS AND SPECIAL SKILLS REQUIRED:

Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience required
7-9 years of experience in an Allocation, Planning/Analytics or comparable role
4-6 years of experience managing people

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS/ADA:

Job requires ability to work in an office environment, primarily on a computer.
Requires sitting, standing, walking, hearing, talking on the telephone, attending in-person meetings, typing, and working with paper/files, etc.
Consistent timeliness and regular attendance.
Vision requirements: Ability to see information in print and/or electronically.
