Sr Analyst, Training (IT)

GENERAL PURPOSE:
The Senior Analyst, Training (IT) is responsible for the development, implementation and delivery of systems training, Office 365 application training and other related processes that align with business objectives and strategies. This position will support key developing programs and will work in collaboration with system support areas, key stakeholders, and Human Resources to prepare for and to schedule training of system rollouts and enhancements for all new hires, transfers, and promotions. The successful trainer must be able to deliver training in person, remotely and travel when required to teach process and keystroke instructions, provide examples of why and when a system is used, and impart the business implications of the system. The trainer should be a quick learner and self-starter, able to continually collect new information and grow their knowledge base and collaborate with teammates to improve training delivery. This learning should, in return, be applied to the continual development of the instruction.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Plan, develop, implement and administer training and development needs

• Prepare and facilitate training related to Merchant system and process changes, new systems and applications, and new processes related to end user productivity tools

• Use various types of training techniques to conduct training - presentation style, instructor led training, webinars, video conference, and one-on-one sessions

• Create and update training materials and reference guides as necessary

• Conduct follow-up of all completed training sessions to evaluate, measure results and modify programs as needed

• Assist to identify system training gaps and where retraining is required

• Deliver instructor led training for recurring new hire systems classes

• Provide training support for the launch of new initiatives and technology

• Design and develop any new material for current or future merchant and store programs

• Work closely with business areas to identify problem areas, create an action plan, and schedule classes where necessary

• Identify future training needs and create curriculums to facilitate that training

• Partner with company leaders to understand training needs and develop and deliver effective solutions

• Ability to quickly learn news systems and functionality, create documentation, curriculum and conduct training classes

QUALIFICATIONS AND SPECIAL SKILLS REQUIRED:

• 7-9 years of work experience in related field

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience. Master's degree preferred.

• Sense of urgency, flexibility, ability to multi-task and a self-starter

• Ability to work with all levels of the organization, including HR, senior leaders from Merchant, Planning and Store teams

• Excellent presentation skills to present to senior stakeholders

• A strong "stage presence" and ability to manage a classroom of adult learners

• Ability to communicate complex software concepts

• Self-sufficient, self-starter with proven success taking ownership of training projects

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills

• Excellent computer skills including all Office 365 applications

• Ability to understand, explain and illustrate industry concepts, product features and benefits

• Proven ability to learn new technologies quickly and apply the gained knowledge to address business problems
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Retail industry experience

• Experience training Office 365

• Experience training Video Conferencing solutions

• Experience training purchase order systems and reporting solutions

• Experience with creating training using applications like Adobe Captivate

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS/ADA:
Job requires ability to work in an office environment, primarily on a computer
Requires sitting, standing, walking, hearing, talking on the telephone, attending in-person meetings, typing, and working with paper/files, etc.
Consistent timeliness and regular attendance.
Vision requirements: Ability to see information in print and/or electronically
Occasional travel will be required
This role requires regular in-office presence, including to engage in in-person team interaction, meetings and collaboration, client support, mentoring, coaching, and/or feedback. However, this role can perform duties effectively using a combination of in-office and remote work.
