Sr. Analyst, Hotel SKU Management

GENERAL PURPOSE:

The Sr. Hotel SKU Management Analyst facilitates the in season release of products that are warehoused in the Distribution Centers. The Sr. Hotel SKU Management Analyst is responsible for achieving daily/weekly Buyer/Class level allocation targets. He or she selects a broad assortment of SKUs to achieve both the allocation target and specialized release strategies.
The Sr. Hotel SKU Management Analyst is responsible for intiating and driving complex analytical projects to support DC and business level strategies. He or she is responsible for leading the team to identify, analyze, recommend and test improvements and efficiencies for the Hotel SKU Management process. The Sr.Hotel SKU management Analyst will be the primary business representative in cross-functional projects, both internal and external.
Additionally, the Sr. Hotel SKU Management Analyst plays an integral role in development of team Analysts (Associate or Analyst).

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

SKU Selection Execution

• Strategically select SKUs to achieve Buyer/Class level targets, and support a balanced assortment (e.g. category or label)

• Identify issues impacting goal achievement and independently create solid resolutions

• Oversee the team to ensure Production Team receives hotel SKUs in a timely manner to be scheduled for daily release to stores

• Define unique business specific approaches and ensure they are incorporated into the SKU Selection process

• Through methodical review determine/execute optimal SKU Selection approaches for complex exception based strategies (e.g. business strategies such as Team Sports, As Seen on TV)

• Determine the release of product to achieve Month End DC unit targets (e.g. comply with assortment initiatives and allocation eligibility)

Strategy Management and Analysis

• Lead the development of product level hotel strategies for events and assortment initiatives

• Monitor and track business strategies through their completion; package/present results and provide recommendations

• Drive seasonal hindsight meetings through on-going business specific goal achievement and strategy reviews

• Complete ad hoc analytics to support business needs; independently research and respond to callouts

Operational Administration

• Validate all strategies are accurately captured into reporting tools

• Ensure all processes and systems updates are completed on schedule across the business team

Leadership

• Point person in Manager's absence

• Primary business mentor for Hotel SKU Management Analyst

• Representative for business team on cross functional departmental initiatives

QUALIFICATIONS AND SPECIAL SKILLS REQUIRED:

Bachelor's Degree or 2-4 years of related experience
2 + years Hotel SKU Management Analyst experience or comparable experience preferred
Working knowledge of all Allocation/Hotel SKU Management concepts; high level mastery of Excel; solid mathematics foundation; strong analytical ability

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS/ADA:

Job requires ability to work in an office environment, primarily on a computer.
Requires sitting, standing, walking, hearing, talking on the telephone, attending in-person meetings, typing, and working with paper/files, etc.
Consistent timeliness and regular attendance.
Vision requirements: Ability to see information in print and/or electronically.
