Specialist, Store Presentation

GENERAL PURPOSE:

This role is responsible for driving the execution of merchandising initiatives and strategies. The Specialist of Store Presentation Execution will work with the Manager of Store Presentation Execution to execute ad hoc projects and rollout new fixtures, hardware & signage by building communication, creating timelines, developing communication, providing support to Stores and following up with Store and Field Leaders during rollouts. This Specialist will represent the Stores organization by having a working understanding of Store Operations processes, policies and procedures as new initiatives are explored by NYBO.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
  • Supports both Store Operations and NYBO to execute merchandising strategies in an off-price environment. This includes, but is not limited to, hardware & fixture rollouts, signage rollouts, prototype updates, new store openings, refresh, remodel and new product strategies.
  • Develops communication that translates complex concepts into clear and easy to understand communication with effective layout, design, language and tone for the intended audience.
  • Provides necessary information to communicate changes regarding initiatives to Merchandising Managers, NYBO, cross-functional business partners and Senior Leaders in a timely manner through written communication, conference calls, meetings and/or store visits.
  • Accurately determines the time needed to execute tasks and builds timelines accordingly.
  • Effectively uses timelines to manage tasks and assignments to ensure deadlines are met on a timely basis consistently.
  • Ability to multi-task to accomplish goals.
  • Can adjust and change direction mid-stream when needed.
  • Assists in the processing of financial documents, development of annual capital budgets, monthly forecasts, and securing funding as needed for new initiatives.

QUALIFICATIONS AND SPECIAL SKILLS REQUIRED:
  • BA/BS in related field preferred
  • 1-2 years of retail experience or corporate experience that includes beginning to end project management in Store Operations
  • Proficient in Word, Excel, Power Point
  • Graphic design skills preferred, In Design, Photoshop, Illustrator
  • Ability to work effectively within a team environment and independently with minimal direction.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS/ADA:
  • Job requires ability to work in an office environment, primarily on a computer.
  • Requires sitting, standing, walking, hearing, talking on the telephone, attending in-person meetings, typing, and working with paper/files, etc.
  • Consistent timeliness and regular attendance.
  • Vision requirements: Ability to see information in print and/or electronically.
  • Frequent travel to local and non-local dd’s & Ross locations.
