Specialist, Accounts Payable Expense


Responsible for the accurate and timely payments of expense invoices. Performs duties related to maintaining strong vendor relations. Resolve invoices in Ariba Invoice Pro Exceptions Queue. Assist in vendors’ Master Data Management (MDM) updates, Ad hoc projects, month end, and year end activities.


Reconcile and verify expense invoices in Ariba Invoice Pro solution and Ross ERP system to ensure accurate and timely payments.

Identify and resolve problem expense invoices with use of the purchase order system. Communicating with vendors and all internal departments.

Analyze expense invoices for proper sales/use tax payment or accrual.

Respond timely and accurately to vendor and internal inquiries.

Review Psft online Payment Requests for appropriate back-up and approval prior to voucher creation.

Perform occasional data entry for exception items that aren’t processed through Ariba, Uploads, or Payment Requests.

Communicate potential problems to Lead Specialist and Supervisor in order to expedite special payment arrangements

Complete daily production log.

Minimum, 1-2 years of Accounts Payable experience in invoice processing and resolution.

Good communication skills

General knowledge of Accounts Payable applications on a computerized system

Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel

Individual must be self-directed, but also be able to work as part of a team


Job requires ability to work in an office environment, primarily on a computer.

Requires sitting, standing, walking, hearing, talking on the telephone, attending in-person meetings, typing, and working with paper/files, etc.

Consistent timeliness and regular attendance.

Vision requirements: Ability to see information in print and/or electronically.
