Senior Specialist, Learning and Development

This role requires regular in-office presence, to engage in in-person team interaction, meetings and collaboration, client support, mentoring, coaching, and/or feedback. However, this role can perform duties effectively using a combination of in-office and remote work.


The L&D team operates as a center of excellence, offering learning solutions that result in meaningful development of associate capabilities to support on the job performance and career progression.

This role is responsible for the design, development, and facilitation of virtual and in person instructor led training including New Hire Onboarding, leadership development initiatives, soft skill learning, teambuilding, and compliance/culture learning programs. This role will also be engaged in marketing offerings to associates through weekly communication, intranet site updates, and event marketing.


• Facilitate virtual and in-person learning experiences across a variety of subject matters to support the needs of associates and leaders at various levels.

• While facilitating training, utilize technology to boost the transfer of knowledge for virtual learning environments.

• Manage the development of learning programs to ensure meaningful impact in a timely fashion.

• Design and develop training solutions such as program presentations, job aids, workbooks, facilitator/participant guides, eLearning, and videos applying sound instructional design methodologies and adult learning strategies.

• Design programs while considering business constraints and sustainability requirements.

• Apply discretion in the update of learning content for courses, job aids, facilitator guides and assessments.

• Apply measurement standards to measure training effectiveness.

• Market available learning opportunities through company intranet sites, weekly emails, and other event marketing collateral.

• May collaborate with vendors to deliver learning solutions.

• Bachelor's degree preferred

• 3-5 years of experience facilitating training

• 3-5 years' experience as an instructional designer using Articulate.

• Strong detail orientation

• Ability to work in a fast-paced multi-task office environment

• Strong problem solving and continuous improvement focus

• Operates effectively even when things are not certain, or the way forward is not clear

• Motivated by success and passionate about working and achieving higher results

• Excellent written and communication skills

• Proven organization skills: ability to prioritize effectively and manage multiple tasks in an environment with competing demands

• Strong computer skills - Word, Excel, PowerPoint

• Adept at learning and becoming proficient using technologies such as LMS administrative functions, MS Teams/SharePoint, SurveyMonkey, etc.


Job requires the ability to work in an office environment, primarily on a computer.
Requires sitting, standing, walking, hearing, talking on the telephone, attending in-person and virtual meetings, typing, and working with paper/files, etc.
Consistent timeliness and regular attendance.
Vision requirements: Ability to see information in print and/or electronically.
