Senior Manager, Finance & Treasury

The Treasury Senior Manager is responsible for executing analytical and strategic initiatives for key areas of Treasury and Finance at Ross Stores. Primary responsibilities include assessing investment opportunities, guiding assumptions and projections for all Company debt and investment decision making, and analyzing the Company's capital structure. The Senior Manager will also be responsible for budgeting and forecasting of interest income and expense, cash forecasting, and assisting with management of all banking and other Treasury vendor relationships.

Additionally, the Senior Manager will be expected to perform complex ad-hoc analyses, own projects to drive profit improvements and cost, and represent the Treasury team on various cross functional projects across the organization. The Senior Manager will report to the Director of Treasury, but will frequently interact with the Finance Leadership team including Group Senior Vice President of Finance and the Chief Financial Officer.


• Assess and advise on corporate investment opportunities (in accordance with Company investment policy), oversee liability management for all Company debt (including revolving credit facility), partner with FP&A on Company capital structure analysis and recommendations, and survey competitor actions and outcomes in these areas.

• Execute the forecasting, budgeting and long-term planning activities for interest income and expense, participate in executive reviews, and partner with our vendors and business partners to understand the assumptions and key drivers of changes vs. baseline/prior submissions.

• Develop direct cash forecast while working with FP&A, Accounts Payable, and other cross-functional teams, and partner with Treasury Operations team on their direct cash forecast method monthly. Understand and explain cash balance variances to budget to an executive audience.

• Develop and manage relationships with our banks and other vendors. Oversee bank group wallet share and drive cost savings through the management of contract negotiations and RFPs.

• Originate reports in support of quarterly disclosures and debt covenant compliance.

• Bachelor's Degree (MBA preferred) in Business, Finance, Accounting or a related field; CTP a plus

• 7-10 years of progressive experience, with strong preference in treasury or banking

• An understanding of treasury operations, including general policies, practices, and strategies

• Strong attention to detail and accuracy

• Strong analytical skills with an ability to cope with pressure and changing priorities

• Excellent written and oral communication skills, including the ability to interact with senior executives and banking counterparts


Job requires ability to work in an office environment, primarily on a computer.
Requires sitting, standing, walking, hearing, talking on the telephone, attending in-person meetings, typing, and working with paper/files, etc.
Consistent timeliness and regular attendance.
