Senior, IT Applications Analyst (Supply Chain Systems)

GENERAL PURPOSE:
The Sr. IT Applications Analyst works on projects that apply new or existing technologies to meet the business needs within Supply Chain IT. Works with the IT and business management teams to design and deliver secure, reliable and quality technology solutions. Partners with the business to document functional designs. Influences and guides the change process from concept to implementation. Coordinates the efforts of internal and external staff and of key business partners in the execution of new system projects. Serves as a functional and/or technical expert in one or more disciplines related to Supply Chain solutions.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Architecture & Information Management

• Responsible for ensuring that the different application components are developed and tested to interact effectively with each other as designed

• Monitor application for compliance to IT standards and policies

• Provide technical guidance for evaluation of software applications and tools
Relationship Management

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to maintain efficiency, consistency and achieve successful implementation of applications.

• Provide technical expertise and assistance in designing, developing and testing applications

• Drive functional and technical planning and design with supporting vendors
Development Lifecycle

• Develop materials and deliver / present to senior leadership.

• Create Non-Functional Requirements document, Functional Design and other relevant documents for end users.

• Validate that detailed designs match high level designs and are traceable to requirements

• Collaborate with the QA team to create and review test plans, analyze test cases, test scripts, test results and identify issues and escalate to the appropriate teams.

• Drive test execution throughout all phases of testing (i.e. unit, end-to-end, integration, performance, operational readiness, user acceptance.)

• Participate in all phases of the SDLC.
Technical Services

• Drive the planning and execution of deployment plans with all stakeholders.
Project Management

• Provide status updates to the Project Manager

• Responsible for documenting and resolving technical issues in a timely manner
Support Services

• Analyzes problems, diagnoses and finds root cause in support of existing production systems.

QUALIFICATIONS AND SPECIAL SKILLS REQUIRED:

• 5 years' experience implementing and/or supporting retail systems or IT consulting experience supporting retail. Solid understanding of retail dynamics within a complex, highly integrated environment.

• Undergraduate degree or equivalent work experience in information systems, computer science, or a related technical discipline.

• Ability to act independently to determine methods and procedures on new or special assignments.

• Ability to exercise independent judgment in selecting methods, techniques and evaluation criteria for obtaining results

• Experience in risk identification and management.

• Excellent communication skills and expert application of productivity suite software (i.e. Microsoft Office)

• Strong analytical, problem solving, root cause analysis, and debugging skills.

• Highly organized and detail oriented.

• Some travel may be required

Preferred Qualifications:

• Working knowledge of WMS, WCS and WES

• Project Management certification and experience

• Deployment experience, rollout of hardware/software/packaged solutions across distributed systems

• Vendor Management experience

• Experience with (RHEL) UNIX and Windows operating systems

• Experience with relational databases - specifically Oracle, SQL Server and DB2

• Experience with application development and deployment tools and software - Oracle PL/SQL, SSMS, TOAD, SSRS, Angular Oracle Forms and Reports, ADF, Jenkins and Bitbucket

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS/ADA:
Job requires ability to work in an office environment, primarily on a computer.
Requires sitting, standing, walking, hearing, talking on the telephone, attending in-person meetings, typing, and working with paper/files, etc.
Consistent timeliness and regular attendance.
Vision requirements: Ability to see information in print and/or electronically.
This role requires regular in-office presence, including to engage in in-person team interaction, meetings and collaboration, client support, mentoring, coaching, and/or feedback. However, this role can perform duties effectively using a combination of in-office and remote work.
