Senior Analyst, Auto Strategy

GENERAL PURPOSE:
The Senior Auto Strategy Analyst is responsible for ensuring Allocation Strategies are executed according to high-level and business specific direction, as well as ensuring the Auto system and processes are working efficiently. They will own a diverse range of assignments, projects and analytics which involve researching existing and changing strategies and providing visibility to impacts of current and alternate/recommended approaches. They will also act as a mentor to Auto Analysts. The Senior Analyst will also support various teams within Allocation as the subject matter expert of the Auto strategies, processes and best practices. They will partner with the Auto Management team for guidance on executing broad strategy changes and will partner with Assortment Management for business strategy changes.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Auto Strategy Analysis:
  • Recommend go forward strategies based on comprehensive research and in alignment with business requests, considering Auto best practices. They will identify and/or predict instances when allocations are out of sync with exceptions, identify driving forces, and provide recommendations on alternative strategies.
  • Create a comprehensive review of Allocation Strategies for the Assortment Management team that recaps the Allocation directions and adherence to allocation standards
  • Review high-level auto strategies to understand their impacts. Research the driving force of disconnects and, if needed, create recommendations for change
  • Report allocations standards trends and their impacts to manual and auto allocations.
  • Drive reviews of ad hoc, complex strategies and provide innovative solutions to support global business initiatives, that could eventually be adopted as standard process and tools
  • Build tools as needed to evaluate adherence to standards and project forward looking trends.

Essential Operations & Auto Health:
  • Provide visibility and education on Auto Health and its current status
  • Ensure Auto percentage remains in alignment with leaderships targets
  • Support Process Improvements by researching and recommending new ways of researching Auto Health Identify impacts of global and business strategies and recommend areas of opportunity
  • Support the Auto Management team with production updates and refining processes as needed.

Communication:
  • Act a Subject Matter Expert and educator in Auto for cross functional partners
  • Create monthly internal reporting in Auto Health and Adherence to Standards - communicate results and recommend action needed.
  • Develop materials to communicate results of analysis and key insights to Manager and Director.
  • Provide guidance to the Assortment Management Team on business strategy implementation supporting the Auto Allocation Tool (Allocation Guidelines inputs)
  • Drive timely and effective communication with business partners (e.g., Assortment Management, Total and Regional Store Planning, Allocation Strategy and Operations, etc.) to inform/recommend allocation strategies and results.

Leadership:
  • Point person in Manager's absence
  • Primary business mentor for Auto Analysts
  • Representative for business team on cross functional departmental initiatives

QUALIFICATIONS AND SPECIAL SKILLS REQUIRED:
  • College Degree Preferred
  • 3-5 years of experience related work experience
  • Ability to solve problems through analyzing large, complex data sets; develop/utilize analytics tools, statistical modeling.
  • Intermediate Excel - Worksheet Formatting/Function- conditional format, V-lookup
  • Outlook & Word knowledge required (or equivalent application suite) & PowerPoint preferred
  • Experience and understanding in JDA or other Allocation systems a plus
  • Working knowledge of key systems is a plus: RDW, ACE, and APX(AAT)

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS/ADA:
Job requires ability to work in an office environment, primarily on a computer.
Requires sitting, standing, walking, hearing, talking on the telephone, attending in-person meetings, typing, and working with paper/files, etc.
Consistent timeliness and regular attendance.
Vision requirements: Ability to see information in print and/or electronically.
