Senior Analyst, Allocation Strategy

Position Overview

The Allocation Strategy team is looking for a dynamic and strategic thinker who sees beyond the data to a world of possibilities – where suppliers are partners in innovation, business stakeholders are key collaborators, and value creation is limitless! As a Sr. Analyst within our Allocation Strategy team you will work on projects focused on identifying, testing, and implementing improvements towards our allocation systems. Your role will be comprised of three main functions: strategic system analysis, allocation measurement and audit, and communicating your solutions. In a typical week, you may work on updates to a company-wide report or work with your project team on evaluating the quality of our allocation system for measuring inventory targets. Through this role, you will deepen your knowledge of the retail industry while collaborating with leaders in Corporate Strategy, Loss Prevention, Finance, and the Supply Chain.

Responsibilities and Performance Profile

Spark Change. Lead initiatives to improve allocation and operating efficiencies by partnering cross functionally and conducting exploratory research on allocation system results.
Ask the Big Questions, Find the Creative Solutions. Carry the unique ability to think beyond the data found in your research, diagnose key business problems, and identify hidden solutions to our most complex issues.
Flex Your Technical Expertise. Analyze large amounts of raw data and reports to identify opportunities for improved execution. Assess regular department reports for accuracy and make enhancements to reporting tools as needed.
Be Adaptable. Move seamlessly between projects, adjusting quickly to sudden changes in priorities.
Translate Ideas: Work well cross-functionally and develop compelling materials meant to communicate the points between data and decisions. You’re comfortable presenting your unique insights and analysis to others.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Economics, Statistics, or related analytical fields.
• 3-5 years of experience in an analytics role; project management experience a plus.
• Ability to solve problems through analyzing complex data sets and summarize findings in a straight forward manner (Excel required, SQL and Access a plus)
• Ability to work cross functionally with high attention to detail.
• Strong decision-making skills and a drive for results.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

• Job requires ability to work in an office environment, primarily on a computer.
• Requires sitting, standing, walking, hearing, talking on the telephone, attending in-person meetings, typing, and working with paper/files, etc.
• Consistent timeliness and regular attendance.
• Vision requirements: Ability to see information in print and/or electronically.
