About this job:


The responsibilities of the Production Planning Analyst position include forecasting and managing operational production plans for specific product types based on sales and inventory needs and validating if plans fit with DCs/Supply Chain capacity. Monitor progress to plans and communicate ongoing status to leadership and cross-functional teams. Research and mitigate with key partners when there are variances to the plans. This individual will interact with Merchandise Operations, DCs/Supply Chain, Allocation and other cross-functional teams across the organization.


  • Model outbound goals by Division based on Allocation needs, validating against receipt plans and DC plans.
  • Track and regularly report progress to production plan/targets; anticipate future issues that may impact ability to achieve goals. Identify patterns and derive insights to improve operational efficiency and achieve key deliverables.
  • Manage cross-functional communications and alignment of priority/issue resolution. Interface with cross-functional partners when plan is missed to research and develop mitigation strategy; conduct hind sighting analysis as needed.
  • Work on enhancing and optimizing current tools and reports.
  • Proactively conduct ad hoc analyses.

Desired Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 2 years of retail or consumer product experience preferred
  • Background in operations, logistics and/or supply chain is a plus
  • Strong analytical skills and capacity to evaluate information and interpret meaningful themes from quantitative and qualitative data
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
