Manager, Workforce Analytics

GENERAL PURPOSE:

The Workforce Analytics Manager supports company workforce strategies by producing and communicating objective, data-based business insights to strengthen leadership's strategic vision and execute business objectives. They will leverage multiple data sources, compile reports, transform data, and identify business trends; synthesizing and analyzing data to produce a holistic view of our Associates and programs that affect them, bolster data-based decision making, identify areas of concern or best practices for specialists to review in more detail, and deliver key workforce metrics to stakeholders and our business partners.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Perform complex data manipulation and aggregation of data from multiple internal, and external, data sources

• Assess the effectiveness and accuracy of new data sources and data gathering techniques

• Mine and analyze data from company databases to drive improvement of workforce planning, management, and reporting

• Develop custom data models and algorithms for large data sets, testing framework and model quality

• Develop processes and tools to monitor and analyze model performance and data accuracy

• Design, create, and conduct research studies of Associate data to identify insights about key workforce outcomes (e.g. what are the key early warning signs of future Associate turnover)

• Use predictive modeling to optimize workforce planning, management, development, and project strategic outcomes

• Design and develop dashboards to answer relevant business questions and communicate report data in a concise and easy to understand format

• Partner with stakeholders throughout the organization to identify opportunities for leveraging company data to drive business solutions

• Aid in strengthening Talent & Workforce Strategy Team business partner relations by acting with integrity and seeking to understand the perspectives of our business partners

• Proactively strive to improve reporting (value-add, efficiency, quality, speed) and delivery processes considering all available technologies

• Audit routine and ad hoc reports to identify trends or areas that may require further review

QUALIFICATIONS AND SPECIAL SKILLS REQUIRED:

• BS/BA required in Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, or another quantitative field

• 5-8 years of relevant experience manipulating data sets and building statistical models

• Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint

• Proficient in synthesizing data from multiple sources and drawing accurate conclusions that lead to improved decisions

• Proficient experience with one of SQL, R, Python, Java, Visual Basic, C++, SPSS, SAS, Stata, MATLAB, etc. (R preferred)

• Experience with one of R-markdown, Tableau, Power BI, QlikView, sophisticated Excel charts/graphs, or equivalent. (Power BI preferred)

• Experience with applying multivariate statistical techniques and other advanced analysis approaches

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills for coordinating across teams.

• Excellent organization skills and meticulous attention to detail

• Strong problem-solving skills with an emphasis on product development

• Ability to understand how external factors impact HR, workforce, and business strategies, with the ability to source and interpret data from external sources to support internal metrics (market data, industry benchmarks, regulatory requirements)

• Ability to understand the priorities of different stakeholders and ensure workforce metrics and reporting appropriately support their priorities

• Ability to simplify complex concepts and articulate findings to key stakeholders

• Ability to work well under the pressure of deadlines, with flexibility to adjust to changing priorities

• Ability to work independently, and manage complex workflows

• Ability to exercise independent judgment and problem-solving skill

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS/ADA:

Job requires ability to work in an office environment, primarily on a computer.
Requires sitting, standing, walking, hearing, talking on the telephone, attending in-person meetings, typing, and working with paper/files, etc.
Consistent timeliness and regular attendance.
Vision requirements: Ability to see information in print and/or electronically.
Some travel required
This role requires regular in-office presence, including to engage in in-person team interaction, meetings and collaboration, client support, mentoring, coaching, and/or feedback. However, this role can perform duties effectively using a combination of in-office and remote work.
