Manager, Store Presentation

GENERAL PURPOSE:


This role is responsible for leading the planning and execution of merchandising initiatives that support overall store presentation. The Manager of Store Presentation Execution will work in conjunction with the Manager of Store Presentation Merchandising and other cross-functional partners to execute ad hoc projects and roll out new fixtures, hardware & signage by building budgets, securing funding, creating timelines, overseeing the development of communication, and providing follow-up & updates for all rollouts. This Manager will represent the Stores organization by having a working understanding of Store Operations processes, policies and procedures as new initiatives are explored by NYBO.


ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Supports both Store Operations and NYBO to execute merchandising strategies in an off-price environment. This includes, but is not limited to, hardware and fixture rollouts, signage rollouts, prototype updates, new store openings, refresh, remodel and new product strategies.

  • Collaborates with Merchandising Managers, NYBO, cross-functional business partners and Senior Leaders to develop and align on detailed project timelines and budgets that ensure accuracy and maximum efficiency of time and resources.
  • Manages and documents all aspects of the specific project including developing budgets, securing funding, creating timelines, developing communication for socialization and execution, providing follow-up and managing financials.
  • Provides necessary information to communicate changes regarding initiatives to Merchandising Managers, NYBO, cross-functional business partners and Senior Leaders in a timely manner through written communication, conference calls, meetings and/or store visits.
  • Blends people into teams and can influence without authority to manage the execution of merchandising presentation initiatives.
  • Is strategic and can establish expectations and goals for each project but can adjust and change direction mid-stream when needed.
  • Has a high sense of urgency and can solve for challenges using experience, data and subject matter experts quickly and efficiently.
  • Delivers projects on time and within budget on a consistent basis.
  • Processes financial documents related to initiatives, manages annual capital budgets & monthly forecasts, and secures funding as needed for new initiatives.

QUALIFICATIONS AND SPECIAL SKILLS REQUIRED:

  • BA/BS in related field preferred.
  • 5 years of retail management experience that includes end to end project management in Store Operations, multi-unit or a hybrid of retail management and corporate experience preferred.
  • Proficient in Word, Excel, Power Point.
  • Ability to work effectively within a team environment and independently with minimal direction.
  • Responsible for the ongoing development, engagement, and performance management of their direct report(s).


PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS/ADA:

  • Job requires ability to work in an office environment, primarily on a computer.
  • Requires sitting, standing, walking, hearing, talking on the telephone, attending in-person meetings, typing, and working with paper/files, etc.
  • Consistent timeliness and regular attendance.
  • Vision requirements: Ability to see information in print and/or electronically.
  • Frequent travel to local and non-local dd’s & Ross locations.
