About this job:

 

The Reporting Manager will manage the process of creating, conducting and delivering standardized and ad hoc reports to support business needs. This role is responsible for managing up to 2 Reporting Analysts and overseeing end-to-end tasks and deliverables. Act as the liaison between multiple business partners, e.g. IT, Merchants, DC, Transportation, and the Merchandise Operations team.

Responsibilities

  • Manage standardized reporting process to ensure accurate and timely delivery of reports to customers.
  • Lead the development and comprehensive review of existing reports to drive efficiencies.
  • Work closely with the technical team to build future reporting platform.
  • Use existing data / request data to manage ad hoc reporting requests.
  • Communicate exceptions when necessary (e.g., publish a summary of key callouts from multiple reports, e.g. PO Change, Weekly Comp Exceptions, Hotel Short Stay, Early Allocations, etc., to make it easier for report user to focus on findings).
  • Collaborate with key partners to bring forward business analytics in the continual improvement of business processes within the company.
  • Effectively partners with human resources for all hiring, performance management and staff development.

Desired Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 5 years of experience in retail or consumer products
  • 3 years of management experience
  • General retail merchandising (off-price experience a plus) and supply chain knowledge
  • Strong technical/functional skills; solid knowledge of generation of advanced business analytics and reporting
  • Experience working with Excel (advanced), Access, and large databases
  • Strong analytical and conceptual ability
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to develop relationships and work cross-functionally
