Manager, HR (HRBP Distribution)

GENERAL PURPOSE:

Responsible for leading the DC Human Resource function and providing senior Generalist level skill set and perspective to the DC, with key accountabilities including Temporary Agency management, partnership with HR Shared Services, Exempt training, development & succession planning, DC recognition/reward/communication programs. All of these efforts are focused on maximizing Associate performance to meet the DC business plan while developing and maintaining an open, engaging labor relations environment which remains issue free.


ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Training, development & succession planning:

    • Exempt training, both DC & network designed, including facilitation of parts of the training
    • Succession planning, including SIT, MIT, IDP, facilitation of network Talent Review process
  • Exempt & Hourly DC staffing:

    • Exempt through Manager level
    • Temporary Associates, including management of the Temp Agency relationship
  • DC handbook & policy/procedures oversight

    • Manage the Exempt Associate coaching & counseling processes, with HRS partnership as necessary
  • Manage rewards/recognition/communication programs for DC

    • Manage anniversary awards program
    • Co-manage the All Associate Meeting process with DCVP
    • Co-Manage communication activities: Associate and Supervisor Round Table sessions
    • Manage annual Associate Survey, survey action planning
  • Annual Review programs

    • Annual Focal Review & Mid-Year Review processes
  • HR Shared Services Partnership

QUALIFICATIONS AND SPECIAL SKILLS REQUIRED:

  • Undergraduate degree in HR or related filed.

  • Strong communications skills (both oral and written)

  • Minimum of 8 years HR generalist experience in a similar retail production/distribution environment

  • Strong planning and organizational skills are necessary.

  • Excellent interpersonal skills are required.

  • Bilingual Spanish/English a plus for this environment

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS/ADA:

Job requires ability to work in an office environment, primarily on a computer.

Requires sitting, standing, walking, hearing, talking on the telephone, attending in-person meetings, typing, and working with paper/files, etc.

Consistent timeliness and regular attendance.

Vision requirements: Ability to see information in print and/or electronically.
