GENERAL PURPOSE:

The Treasury Manager is responsible for executing analytical and strategic initiatives for key areas of Treasury and Finance at Ross Stores. Primary responsibilities include budgeting and forecasting of Treasury-owned expenses and income, credit card and debit card acceptance analytics, tracking consumer payment trends, cash forecasting, and effective management of Treasury vendor relationships. The Manager will also be responsible for overseeing Company gift card business and outstanding gift card liabilities on balance sheet.

Additionally, the Manager will be expected to perform complex ad-hoc analyses, own projects to drive profit improvements and cost, and represent the Treasury team on various cross functional projects across the organization. The Manager will report to the Director of Treasury, but will frequently interact with the Finance Leadership team including Group Senior Vice President of Finance and the Chief Financial Officer.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Execute the forecasting, budgeting and long-term planning activities for Treasury-owned expenses and income, participate in executive reviews, and partner with our vendors and business partners to understand the assumptions and key drivers of changes vs. baseline/prior submissions.

• Develop monthly indirect cash forecast while working with cross-functional teams to consolidate forecast inputs, and partner with Treasury Operations team on their direct cash forecast monthly. Understand cash flow and balance sheet variances to budget and forecast, and explain such variances to an executive audience.

• Manage the reporting and strategic analysis of credit and debit card acceptance costs, including trend analysis, rate audits, and the creation of cost-savings initiatives.

• Oversee our gift card business and manage gift card and credit voucher liabilities on balance sheet, including journal entries and balance sheet reconciliations.

• Develop and manage relationships with our banks, payment processors, gift card providers, and other vendors. Drive cost savings through the management of contract negotiations and RFPs.

• Originate reports in support of quarterly disclosures and card acceptance compliance.

• Design and execute complex analysis to answer ad hoc questions as needed.

QUALIFICATIONS AND SPECIAL SKILLS REQUIRED:

• Bachelor's Degree (MBA preferred) in Business, Finance, Accounting or a related field

• 5-7 years of progressive experience, preferably in treasury/corporate finance

• An understanding of treasury operations, including general policies, practices, and strategies

• Strong attention to detail and accuracy

• Strong analytical skills with an ability to cope with pressure and changing priorities

• Excellent written and oral communication skills, including the ability to interact with senior executives and vendor counterparts

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS/ADA:

Job requires ability to work in an office environment, primarily on a computer.
Requires sitting, standing, walking, hearing, talking on the telephone, attending in-person meetings, typing, and working with paper/files, etc.
Consistent timeliness and regular attendance.
