The Communications Intranet Manager is responsible for day-to-day operation and management of the company portal. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to maintaining the visual design, site navigation, and site content including news, alerts, policy and procedure documentation. Additionally, this generalist may create communications campaigns and activities to educate and engage employees, drive emotional connection to the Ross and dd's brands, support strategic business objectives and reinforce the company culture.

As a member of the Communications & Engagement team, the Communications Intranet Manager will work closely with them to build an intranet content management strategy that aligns with our editorial calendar to communicate company news, announcements, and local messaging. This candidate will work closely with developers, designers, and content management teams to ensure sites meet internal objectives and enhancements roadmap.

The base salary range for this role is $102,500 - $156,350. The base salary range is dependent on factors including, but not limited to, experience, skills, qualifications, relevant education, certifications, seniority, and location. The range listed is just one component of the total compensation package for employees. Other rewards vary by position and location.


• Maintain site navigation and underlying information architecture.

• Manage portal design using SharePoint/Office 365 including publishing web pages and implementing development concepts.

• Develop and maintain an editorial calendar, in conjunction with the Communications & Engagement team.

• Proactively identify and write stories and leverage the internal editorial calendar to enhance communications campaigns and local messages.

• Collaborate with business partners to write/create engaging content and ensure the visual aesthetic of the site are brand appropriate.

• Interfaces with and presents up to all levels of management.

• Train and coach content creators and site administrators to ensure their content is up to date and they are aligned with the overall intranet strategy.

• Manage process for publishing news and other content updates, including review/approval via workflows to ensure completeness, timeliness, accuracy, and relevancy. Ensure a consistent voice is used and AP grammatical standards, as well as Ross and dd's brand standards.

• Monitor site analytics and reporting for key performance indicators.

• Use metrics and reporting to measure effectiveness, identify opportunities and track progress; leverage results to make recommendations and refine communications approach.

• Partner with IT to manage site improvement projects.

• BA degree or greater is desired, preferably in Communications, Human Resources, Marketing, or Business

• 5-7 years of related Communications or Retail work-experience

• 3+ years of previous management or supervisory experience required

• Must have proficiency in and knowledge of computer software including MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, Access and PowerPoint)

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills and strong presentation skills

• Excellent analytical skills and demonstrated ability to solve problems

• Self-motivated individual who can be successful in a fast-paced environment, with minimal supervision

• Proven ability to make good decisions under pressure

• Must demonstrate the ability to be flexible and adapt to changing priorities

This position requires the ability to work in an office environment, including using a computer, attending meetings, working as part of a team, and the ability to communicate with team members and others. Regular attendance also is a requirement of the position.

This role requires full-time in-office presence, including to engage in in-person team interaction, meetings and collaboration, client support, mentoring, coaching, and/or feedback.
Must be able to work with a flexible schedule, this may include nights and weekends
