GENERAL PURPOSE:

The Auto Management Manager is responsible for the execution of class level auto standards and accuracy of the Auto Allocation Tool which processes 95% of receipts flowing to the Ross and dd's Chains. Independently translates allocation approach modifications from Assortment Management into actionable assignments for the team execution. The Auto Management Manager drives the relationships with Assortment Management and business partners to ensure allocation approaches changes are executed correctly on a weekly basis. Accountable for communicating to Assortment Management Leadership on auto productivity, allocation approach issues and provide recommendations to ensure auto allocation standards are met.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONs:

Auto Management

• Lead and support the management and assignment of weekly allocation approaches changes for both Ross and dd's chains, ensuring changes are executed correctly

• Manage the execution of analysis for assessment of auto standards, auto gaps and global business initiatives

• Ensure his/her team is effectively supporting Assortment Management's allocation vision including resolving Allocation Guideline issues in a timely manner and proactively minimizing future issues

• Analyze and understand implications of allocation approaches changes on Auto percentage goals and Allocation Health objectives and communicate implications to his/her team and/or Assortment Management leadership

• Ensure Auto percentage remains in alignment with leaderships targets by managing auto standards at the class level.

• Align the workload of his/her team to effectively support Auto goals and standards

• Conduct quality assurance on Rules in the Auto Allocation Tool by verifying alignment with set standards. Communicate to the Assortment Management Team where there are inconsistencies

Communication

• Drive cross department communication (e.g., Receipt Management, Allocation Operations, Assortment Management, etc.) to ensure accurate execution of allocation approaches and business objectives

• Drive communication with business partners to establish and/or achieve Auto goals

• Ensure strategies and goals, including business nuances, are clearly communicated to direct reports, Assortment Management and other business partners as needed

• Provide Director, Assortment Management, and/or business partner status updates (e.g., findings and recommendations) on Auto goals and weekly allocation approach changes

People Management

• Provide coaching and feedback to direct reports on daily tasks

• Follow up on career development and coaching in a timely manner

• Conduct and manage the performance processes to identify key areas for associate development, ensuring fair and time-bound measurement and assessment of goals throughout year

• Partner with associates to develop an Individual Development Plan (IDP) that supports them in developing key areas and achieving career goals

QUALIFICATIONS AND SPECIAL SKILLS REQUIRED:

Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience required
5-7 years related work experience
1-3 years managing people
Working knowledge of: RDW, ACE, Toad, APX, and SQL

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS/ADA:

Job requires ability to work in an office environment, primarily on a computer.
Requires sitting, standing, walking, hearing, talking on the telephone, attending in-person meetings, typing, and working with paper/files, etc.
Consistent timeliness and regular attendance.
Vision requirements: Ability to see information in print and/or electronically.
