LP Operations Lead

The Lead, LP Operations is responsible for supporting the development, implementation, and ongoing execution of operations and compliance initiatives. The position will ensure Loss Prevention personnel are compliant with state/city and company requirements by leading the Private Security Officer (PSO) program, auditing cases (external and internal), and leading or supporting select LP projects, initiatives and communications.


• Reviews and audits internal and external theft cases to ensure field teams are compliant with policies, procedures, and ethical standards when conducting theft cases for Ross Stores Inc.

• Supervises and maintains standards of internal and external performance and provides action plans to improve compliance results

• Leads the communication and assessment of LP compliance training

• Ensures Ross Stores, Inc. remains current on civil recovery processes and industry best practices. Monitors civil recovery trends and ensures training materials follow state and federal legal guidelines. Follows up with disputes, attorney matters and restitution payments made to the company.

• Develops project timelines, budgets and monitors key deliverables for all projects as assigned. Ensures that all projects are executed according the project process for timelines, funding, approvals, and communication.

• Manages and executes the Private Security Officer (security guard license) Program. Is responsible for developing analytics to ensure all impacted SPS remain compliant in accordance with program regulations at all times. Consistently identifies process improvement opportunities and implements changes to state or jurisdiction regulations as needed.

• Processes invoices and tracks project data to ensure invoicing is paid in a timely manner in accordance with payment terms. Logs all invoicing, check requests and company credit card expenses into the appropriate expenditure log to ensure that all costs are tracked appropriately

• Leads the capital expenditure request (CER) process for projects related to the LP Operations Team. Tracks and manages all project costs to remain within the budget. Updates expenditure logs and initiates payment for project invoices.

• B.A. or higher preferred - Criminal Justice, Finance or Business.

• 2-4 years of relevant work experience

• Retail management experience that includes project management and business process ownership in Loss Prevention, multi-unit or a hybrid of field

• Detail oriented with strong emphasis on accuracy and timeliness.

• Communicates effectively in both verbal and written forms to multiple levels of the organization

• Demonstrates ability to balance multiple tasks, deadlines, and rapidly changing priorities within a fast-paced environment.

• Self-motivated individual with excellent analytical skills and conceptual ability.

• Consistently meets or exceeds deadline requirements.

• Able to navigate and build strong business partnerships.

• High level of proficiency in Microsoft Office software, particularly in MS Excel and PowerPoint.

• Maintains confidentiality concerning all projects.


Job requires ability to work in an office environment, primarily on a computer.
Requires sitting, standing, walking, hearing, talking on the telephone, attending in-person meetings, typing, and working with paper/files, etc.
Consistent timeliness and regular attendance.
