Lead, Project Coordinator

GENERAL PURPOSE:

Builds and manages the installation of multiple Store Planning fixture and remodel projects. Supervises the installation and the execution of remodels, special projects and RVP requested fixture projects. 60 to 200 projects annually.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Develops project timelines, budgets and monitors store fixture installations. Ensures that all projects are executed according to the Store Planning project process for timelines, funding, drawings, fixture specifications, approvals and quality standards.

• Travels on a regular schedule to each project site to inspect the actual installation of fixtures for major remodel projects.

• Reviews site conditions for issues with truck delivery and the logistics of off loading fixtures. Reviews with Property Development for requirement of unique city or municipal requirements for deliveries.

• Supervises and monitors fixture installations by resolving issues on timing, quality, accuracy, pricing and the shipment of fixtures.

• Manages all aspects of the bid process by choosing vendors for bidding, qualifying each bid, analyzing the pricing, and awarding of the contract.

• Maintain schedules to ensure deadlines are met. Coordinates with Construction, Facilities, Loss Prevention and others so that the fixture installation process works in concert with any construction process that may be included in the scope of work.

• Track all project costs to remain within the budget. Produces a monthly forecast document to the finance team for the monthly existing store capital report.

• Create and manage the project “punch-list”, ensure items are completed in an effective and timely manner. Issues plans to installers for scheduled installations.

• Schedules with each store the installation phases and days. Conducts kick off meetings with stores, installer and project partners.

• Reviews DPRs (daily progress reports) from installers during the installation window for a group of stores.

• Calls each store after the nightly install to follow up on project progress and resolves any issues the store may have with graphic placement.

• Generates project recaps with photos from the DPR for project close out review meetings.

• Creates change orders for approval of reorders of fixtures or graphics for individual stores due to installation issues or shortages in shipments.

QUALIFICATIONS AND SPECIAL SKILLS REQUIRED:

• Associate of Arts degree in drafting using Auto CAD programs.

• Familiarity with web based software.

• Experience dealing with Contractors

• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail

• Strong communications skills.

• Proficient in MS Office software.

• Skills in project coordination and managing processes.
