GENERAL PURPOSE:

The Organizational Safety and Security (OSS) Lead is responsible for providing a safe and secure environment for our Ross Corporate Campus (RCC). RCC operates 24/7/365, requiring on-site personnel to provide physical security, manage access control, and initiate emergency response protocols to ensure a safe and secure environment for our Associates.

This position is responsible for identifying gaps/risk and subsequently developing and leading key response initiatives from inception to completion; such as, our Fire/Life Safety program and Emergency Response protocols and safety teams.

Additional responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Leading the daily execution of all on-site security personnel
Mitigating security risks through subsequent preparedness and training efforts
Provide physical security, perform campus inspections, monitoring CCTV cameras, and maintaining best-in-class customer service

In addition, you will be responsible for some of the concentrations below.

Mitigating Safety and Security Risk Through Preparedness and Response
  • Ensure security officers are maintaining required daily and weekly checklists to validate that operational processes and controls are in place to safeguard against corporate exposure
  • Create initiatives and conduce fire and/or evacuation drills as directed
  • Maintains the integrity and confidentiality of information pertaining to the corporate and buying offices, associates, vendors, and visitors
  • Monitor and protect the technology infrastructure and all related proprietary information by following security procedures
  • Support leadership team with the assessment process as assigned.
  • Attend and participate in drills and training as directed and maintain applicable certifications and licenses.
  • Maintain all equipment in serviceable, functional and operable condition.
  • In the event of an emergency, respond and implement immediate corrective action to restore safety and security as per Organizational Safety and Security protocol and policy

Developing Great Teams & Partnerships
  • Assist with identifying and recruiting top talent for Organizational Safety and Security officers
  • Coordinate emergency resources when necessary and provide direction and informational updates to Organizational Safety and Security leadership
  • Increase office awareness of security processes and procedures through positive interactions

  • Provide excellent customer service and timely follow-up
  • Provides a prompt and courteous response to requests for support from floor fire safety teams, including Fire Wardens, Deputy Fire Wardens and all other Fire Life Safety team members
  • Lead fire safety teams; including Fire Wardens, Deputy Fire Wardens and Building Evacuation team members

QUALIFICATIONS AND SPECIAL SKILLS REQUIRED:
  • Bachelor's degree desired or equivalent work experience, prior Law Enforcement background or military experience preferred
  • 5-7 years of Law Enforcement, Corporate Security or Organizational Safety & Security experience required
  • Excellent written and verbal skills and strong presentation skills
  • Security Guard License preferred
  • Proficiency in and knowledge of computer software including MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate, present information to all levels within organization
  • Proven ability to make good decisions under pressure
  • Excellent analytical skills and demonstrated ability to solve problems
  • Self-motivated individual who can be successful in a fast-paced environment, with minimal supervision
  • Must demonstrate the ability to be flexible and adapt to changing priorities
  • Excellent organizational skills, detail-oriented
  • Maintains confidentiality concerning all information and projects

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS/ADA:

Job requires ability to work in an office environment, primarily on a computer or monitoring CCTV
Requires sitting, standing, walking, hearing, talking on the telephone, attending in-person meetings, typing, and working with paper/files, etc.
Consistent timeliness and regular attendance.
Vision requirements: Ability to see information in print and/or electronically.
This role requires full-time in-office presence, including to engage in in-person team interaction, meetings and collaboration, client support, mentoring, coaching, and/or feedback.
Must be able to work all shifts including holidays, overnights and weekends
Must be able to stand for long periods of time if needed
Must be able to raise or lower objects weighing up to 25lbs, from one level to another
Must be able to climb stairs, ramps or ladders occasionally during shift if needed
Must be able to respond appropriately during crisis events
Must be able to regularly bend, stoop or crouch (frequency and duration will vary per daily business need)
