IT Manager II (Application Management Support)

The Manager II is responsible for managing the day to day application support activities for a defined area/department. Collaborate and negotiate with internal and external cross functional teams to resolve problems to meet schedules. Monitor, understanding and approve changes impacting systems and infrastructure. Communicate status on critical incidents and activities, facilitate meetings to resolve issues, discuss monthly service reports and escalate challenges.


• Manage day to day application support activities, customer service issues and Change Control reviews and approvals

• Align team to meet IT strategic and department goals and polices

• Collaborate with internal and external IT teams to resolve/improve IT processes and procedures

• Participate in resolving and communicating critical incidents impacting business and IT operations

• Maintain stability and quality of service by ensuring operation standards and processes are followed; support documents are kept current

• Collaborate and make recommendations on existing and new IT operations/activities; implement approved changes in all areas of IT responsibility

• Review support/project documentation (Service Level Agreements, transition plans, requirements/design documents, root cause analysis, etc.) to confirm accuracy, understanding and support

• Participate in capital/expense budget activities; create/review estimate, ROI and priority on proposed changes within the department

• Minimum 8 years IT experience building and supporting backend systems

• 6+ years of IT Management experience in a supervisory position (direct or indirect reports), supporting applications and implementing company initiatives/goals

• Bachelor's Degree with a concentration in Computer Science, Business Information Computer Systems, or equivalent work experience

• Experience identifying automation opportunities both at an infrastructure (Unix, Windows, Database - Oracle/MSSQL) and cloud and in-house applications

• Experience architecting, designing and delivering automations using tool such as Automation Anywhere, k2 etc.

• Experience with API life cycle management platforms such as MuleSoft and messaging technologies such as RabbitMQ and Oracle SOA

• Detail-oriented, with a strong emphasis on accuracy


• Job requires ability to work in an office environment, primarily on a computer

• Requires sitting, standing, walking, hearing, talking on the telephone, attending in-person and/or virtual meetings, typing, and working with paper/files, etc.

• Consistent timeliness and regular attendance

• Vision requirements: Ability to see information in print and/or electronically

• This role requires regular in-office presence, including to engage in in-person team interaction, meetings and collaboration, client support, mentoring, coaching, and/or feedback. However, this role can perform duties effectively using a combination of in-office and remote work.
