IT Manager I (Patch Management & Compliance)

GENERAL PURPOSE:
Manager I role is responsible for supervising day to day Patch Management and compliance activities. Collaborate and negotiate with internal and external teams to resolve problems to meet schedules. Monitor, understand and approve changes impacting IT systems and infrastructure. Partner with IGRC and portfolio teams to influence patching and remediation compliance. Serve as a functional and/or technical expert in one or more disciplines. Oversee IT Audit compliance adherence and engage with external and internal auditors, providing evidence and reports. Conduct analysis of existing patching and vulnerability remediation processes for improvement opportunities.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Supervise patch scheduling and vulnerability remediation activities, incident management, resolution of issues and Change Control reviews

• Assist with interpretation of the IT strategy and align resources to meet strategic goals

• Manage existing audit compliance processes (internal and external) and engage with external and internal auditors, providing feedback and tracking remediation of audit findings

• Collaborate with internal and external IT teams to make recommendation to improve IT processes and procedures

• Maintain stability and quality ensuring operational standards and processes are followed; support documents are kept current

• Review and approve patching and remediation changes, ensuring timely submission and tracking post-approval progress, calling out any changes in danger of missing the planned end date

• Facilitate weekly remediation status meetings, providing agenda content in advance and comprehensive meeting minutes

QUALIFICATIONS AND SPECIAL SKILLS REQUIRED:

• 4 Year College Degree preferred

• 6-8 years of IT experience

• 3 years of project management experience

• Experience in providing guidance to associates according to established policies and leadership guidance.

• Experience supporting server patching and vulnerability remediation across technological platforms (preferred)

• Technical experience using Microsoft office and O365 suite (including MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, MS Project and MS Word)

• Proven analytical and report development skills

• Technical experience with ServiceNow (Incident, Problem, Change, CMDB, IG)

• Familiarity with vulnerability scanning tools (Qualys, Kenna) (preferred)

Job requires ability to work in an office environment, primarily on a computer.
Requires sitting, standing, walking, hearing, talking on the telephone, attending in-person meetings, typing, and working with paper/files, etc.
Consistent timeliness and regular attendance.
Vision requirements: Ability to see information in print and/or electronically.
This role requires regular in-office presence, including to engage in in-person team interaction, meetings and collaboration, client support, mentoring, coaching, and/or feedback. However, this role can perform duties effectively using a combination of in-office and remote work.
