Financial Analyst

GENERAL PURPOSE:

The Analyst is responsible for Brand Maintenance and Repair financial processes including invoicing, budget development and project support, along with vendor management, and developing and executing special projects for the BMR Department (Cosmetic Repairs). The Analyst will accurately track and reconcile service budgets and forecast against the service schedule to ensure proper financial tracking with Store Ops Finance (weekly, monthly, quarterly, and year-end). These responsibilities include analytic reporting and analysis, invoicing, spend tracking and trending, budget development, forecasting, financial audits, and data integrity of pricing for Repairs vendors. In addition, the Analyst will manage Vendors to meet service expectations and provide periodic updates to Senior Leadership. The Analyst will also provide critical analysis for the Corporate team.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Brand Maintenance and Repair Service Delivery and Vendor Mgmt.

• Partners with the entire field organization to understand Brand Maintenance and repair needs. Appropriately prioritizes work orders and manages service providers to ensure all work is completed to the highest standards, on-time, and on budget.

• Schedules, monitors, evaluates, and performance manages vendors across all service areas: Janitorial Services, Cosmetic Repair and Maintenance, Vending Services, Keys & Cores, Shopping Cart Repair & Retrieval, and Fixture Repairs.

• Solicits field feedback on process improvements. Acts as liaison between Store Ops Corporate and field teams.

• Owns data integrity of all Vendor scorecards, quotes, and invoices. Ensures scope and cost accuracy and follow-up with Vendors.
Financial Impact

• Accurately develop budget model for BMR (Cosmetic Repairs).

• Create and manage weekly financial updates with Store Ops Finance to support budget/forecasts.

• Responsible for accurate information of forecasts, accruals, financial data pulls, and audits for all Ross/dd's locations. Update Store Ops leaders and Finance partners of financial issues related to Cosmetic Repair services.

• Tracks and executes all core/key, cosmetic repair, small fixture repair, cart repair, cart retrieval, vending machine, janitorial and container invoices. Manage PO process and follow proper financial tracking procedures.

• Analyze complex projects and make recommendations with regard to Capital and Expense budgets.
Special Project Management

• Develops and manages various pilots and proof of concepts on service maintenance trends, budgets, and scope of work adjustments.

• Maintains working knowledge and expertise in janitorial services and cosmetic repairs, ability to analyze complex projects and make recommendations with Capital and Expense budgets.

• Provides business case/ROI analysis to CER development and manage cross-function projects from end-to-end.

QUALIFICATIONS AND SPECIAL SKILLS REQUIRED:

• 3 year work experience in retail maintenance or operations.

• Bachelor's Degree preferred (will consider related work experience)

• Ideal candidate has experience in maintenance, customer service, and/or finance.

• Expert computer skills including Microsoft Excel, Word Access and PowerPoint.

• Strong analytical skills in math and problem solving.

• Strong knowledge of accounting and budgeting practices.

• Ability to handle service matters professionally, confidentially, and quickly.

• Ability to deliver accurate data on-time.

• High degree of reliability, including accountability for daily, weekly, and long-term projects.

• Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously, prioritize these tasks, and follow-up to ensure timeliness.

• Excellent organizational skills, handle pressure and rapidly changing priorities well.

• Ability to communicate across multiple functions from peer to Senior Leadership.

• Ability to function in a fast paced and intense environment with multiple demands.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS/ADA:

Job requires ability to work in an office environment, primarily on a computer.
Requires sitting, standing, walking, hearing, talking on the telephone, attending in-person meetings, typing, and working with paper/files, etc.
Consistent timeliness and regular attendance.
Vision requirements: Ability to see information in print and/or electronically.
This role requires regular in-office presence, including to engage in in-person team interaction, meetings and collaboration, client support, mentoring, coaching, and/or feedback. However, this role can perform duties effectively using a combination of in-office and remote work.
