Facility Supervisor

GENERAL PURPOSE:


Responsible for the day-today supervision of construction, service and maintenance vendors in the NYBO Office.


ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:


· Supervises and coordinates repair work with outside vendors

· Prioritizes work orders using own judgment of time management and schedules them accordingly

· Troubleshoots building issues and calls vendors if needed

· Installs furniture systems and keep inventory of back stock. Coordinates and supervises outside furniture installers when needed

· Makes recommendations for long-term solutions or on updating old equipment

· Coordinates weekly Moves/Adds/Changes by managing internal staff to identify to/from move locations on spaces affected and internal/external movers to relocate workspace items

· Summary of other job duties:

o Keeps maintenance checklists of various duties current

o Makes minor repairs as needed

o Handles set-ups and take-downs of chairs and tables for meetings

o Keep manager apprised of potential problem

Perform other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS AND SPECIAL SKILLS REQUIRED:


  • Experience managing construction, service and maintenance vendors
  • High school graduate or equivalent
  • 3-5 years facility repair work and/or experience in corporate facility department
  • Must be able to use tools as needed for electrical, plumbing & installation (including electrical meters, blue prints, schematics, etc.)
  • Knowledge to do electrical and plumbing repairs and troubleshooting
  • Must be self-motivated and work well with minimal supervision
  • Must interact with all levels of personnel and management

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS/ADA:


Job requires ability to work in an office environment, primarily on a computer.

Requires sitting, standing, walking, hearing, talking on the telephone, attending in-person meetings, typing, and working with paper/files, etc.

Consistent timeliness and regular attendance.

Vision requirements: Ability to see information in print and/or electronically.

Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.


SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Supervises outside contractors working in the office
