Engineer II (Video Conferencing)

GENERAL PURPOSE:

The Video conferencing engineer is primarily responsible for the design and maintenance of all audio-visual rooms, video conferencing equipment, and web/audio conferencing solutions.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Maintain the overall design of A/V system standards and ensure audio visual conferencing technologies meet business requirements and are marketed effectively.

• Maintain a comprehensive understanding of best practices and advances in emerging technologies within video conferencing, closely matching technology solutions to the business needs of the company.

• Maintain system documentation, service manuals, and knowledge base articles for the support of each system. Develop and implement training materials.

• Act as liaison between Help Desk, Telecommunications, Network and the Local Support Team.

• Collaborate with business users to elicit audio visual and conferencing requirements, this includes POCs and demos.

• Maintain monitoring and utilization reports for enterprise AV capabilities.

• Some executive conferencing support and level 3 escalation required.

QUALIFICATIONS AND SPECIAL SKILLS REQUIRED:

• At least 8-10 years of Information Technology within large enterprise organizations

• Experience with design, implementation and upgrade of AV equipment and control systems. Poly certification strongly preferred, Crestron experience or equivalent.

• Ability to analyze and solve complex problems

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

• Excellent attention and orientation toward meticulous work

• Extensive experience with Skype/ Teams conferencing & voice solutions (O365 Online).

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience
Preferred Qualifications:

• Some experience with Cisco VOIP systems

• Experience with Zoom

• Experience with video conferencing for US and APAC locations

• Experience with O365 Collaboration platform

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS/ADA:

Job requires ability to work in an office environment, primarily on a computer.
Requires sitting, standing, walking, hearing, talking on the telephone, attending in-person meetings, typing, and working with paper/files, etc.
Consistent timeliness and regular attendance.
Vision requirements: Ability to see information in print and/or electronically.
